I have worked with children of all ages for approximately 11 years. Three years ago, I moved to Virginia after living in the Bronx, New York, for 16 years. I have experience working in various daycare settings, and I ran my own daycare in the Bronx for two years before having to close it due to the pandemic. Currently, I work at a preschool. I enjoy doing crafts and other activities with children that help them learn.

I am a student teacher’s assistant for general chemistry at UVA and an in-home caregiver for dementia patients. Pet care is also included in my job as an in-home caregiver as I currently help take care of two cats. At home I have a fish tank and in the past I have kept birds and a rabbit, as well as hermit crabs. I am very patient, responsible, and I relate to people of all ages very well.

I started babysitting for my neighbors when I was 11 years old. I babysat for two families; the first had a 7-year-old and a newborn. The second family had three children, the youngest was an infant when I first started sitting for them. Not only did I watch the kids, I also typically cooked and served meals, cleaned the play areas and kitchen, and watched the dog. Hello! I have been babysitting since I was 13. During high school I was a regular caretaker for a 6 and 8 year old and their puppy. It was a joy to watch them grow over the course of a few years. I also had many other less committal gigs with kids ranging from infant to middle school. One example of a regular job was caring for a family of a 2,4 and 6 year old (and getting them all to bed!). Through out college I picked up some gigs here and there. One summer after college I ran a 2 week nature based day camp for 3-5 year-olds. I love witnessing the creativity and wisdom of children and understand the most important thing is encouraging them to be their true selves and making sure they’re safe and at ease. I work as a gardener. I am also an artist. I have a cat Lillie and have been a professional dog walker and care taker for years. So I am happy to help with any animal support!
