Hello, my name is Allyson! Caring for children has been one of the greatest joys in my life. I've been babysitting and nannying since I was 12 years old and have had the privilege of caring for dozens of families with children ranging from just 2 weeks old through 12 years old. I recently accepted a Lead Teacher role in an infant classroom at a daycare in Chesterfield. I just moved to the area from Wisconsin with my partner after earning my M.A. in Public Service from Marquette University. While I enjoy working with children of all ages, I have a special passion for caring for infants. I am also currently earning a Trauma Informed Care Certification through Michigan State University to continue expanding my knowledge and provide the best care possible for every child I work with. Whether we're reading books, exploring outside, creating art, or working through big emotions together, I strive to create an environment where children feel safe, respected, and encouraged to learn. I'm also happy to assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, homework/educational activities, and pet care so I can be a dependable, supportive presence for your entire family. On a personal note, I love being in water, quality time with my partner, singing, going to parks, and snuggles with with my kitty, Miss Araya Sunshine.
