Hi, parents! I recently moved to the Seattle area (Issaquah) from San Diego and am looking to connect with families who need a reliable, caring babysitter for date nights, evenings, or weekends. This is actually my first time using UrbanSitter! Back in San Diego, I found all of my babysitting jobs through word of mouth. Families I worked with would recommend me to their friends, and I was babysitting for entire friend groups and neighboring families. I'm excited to use this platform to build those same long-term relationships with families here in Washington. I work full-time during the day, so I'm available after 5:00 PM on weekdays and have much more flexibility on weekends. I'm based in Issaquah and am happy to travel up to about 15 miles for the right family. Hi families! I am a middle school teacher (cooking-- yes, it exists!) with nearly twelve years in the classroom. Originally from the midwest, I spent many summers growing up working as a nanny, babysitting for neighbors, and eventually working in summer camps and a daycare for four years during college. I have always been in roles working with children of various ages, and my career in education has allowed me to continue fulfilling my passion. I teach my students how to cook, shop, and plan meals for themselves, in hopes of giving them confidence in the kitchen. I love what I do, even on the most chaotic days!
