Hi! I'm Mary, and I'm looking for a part-time nanny position. I spent 17 years running my own preschool and childcare program, caring for children from newborns through kindergarten. With a business degree and extensive coursework in early childhood education, I bring both professional experience and a true passion for nurturing young minds. I've also had the joy of raising three daughters of my own, all now college graduates, giving me a personal understanding of children's needs. I'm patient, dependable, and love spending time with kids, whether it's reading, playing, helping them learn, or simply making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for.

I grew up in a household with multiple children aka my little sister and my two nieces, as they grew up i took care of my next round of two nieces from newborns to where they are now! i have basically babysat my entire life! i can cook, clean and of course have fun! i also have another child i babysat before i moved up here from arizona which was my nephew who is now four years old! i have also worked at a elementary school as a paraprofessional who specializes in children with special needs! i have worked at a elementary school back in arizona before moving here which was K-8 which helped me know how to handle kiddos from ages 4 to 13! ☺️

I have been a nanny for infants and toddlers for the past 3 years. Before this time, I worked as teacher's aide, after-school program teacher and administrative assistant. I have an Early Childcare Certificate, a current First Aid/CPR Certificate for Infants - Adults, Teaching English to Students of Other Languages (TESOL) Certificate, and Public Information degree. I care deeply about forming a strong bond with the children I care for and love introducing them to various experiences that build their awareness of themselves, others and the world around them. In addition, I believe in offering gentle guidance to children in a respectful, kind, instructive and even fun way. During my time with children, I do activities and engage with them in a way that sparks their curiosity, builds their knowledge and skills, follows their interests, helps them learn age-appropriate socio-emotional and communication skills. Based on several factors, I may use redirection, modeling what I want them to do or say, several reminders to reinforce behavior expectations such as washing hands after outside play and before meals, offering "first this, then that" or a choice of what to do first when both activities are required, advanced notice before transitioning to something else, and other age-appropriate caregiving practices. As a strong empath, I want to use my innate ability to connect with children (and all people) in a way that helps them feel understood, valued, worthy of kindness and attention, great for who they are JUST AS THEY ARE, and safe. I've found that I can't nurture children as deeply as I'd like and, in the case of very young children, to the degree I feel they need as they learn about themselves, others and their world.

I grew up in a big family, and from a young age I was able to gain experience in child care. It would later be something that I really enjoy and continue to want to do. I’ve generally worked with toddlers and younger kids but I love kids of all ages. I love taking them outside to play in the sun or creating art indoors. In my free time I like to read, workout, and spend time with family and friends. I mostly have availability during the weekends and some occasional week nights

I am a 34 year old full time stay at home mom to a 15 month old little girl! She is quite active and loves to play with other kids. If you need sitting during M-F during the day then she will need to come with me! Open to sitting in your home or mine! During the evenings or on weekends, she will NOT be with me! I am currently a nanny twice weekly to a 2 year old little girl! Previously I have worked as a behavior specialist to special needs children for 4 years and worked as a substitute teacher. I have been babysitting for 20+ years and worked as a nanny for 3 months full time as well to two children aged 4 and an infant during that time. I am fully CPR certified. I am raising my daughter bilingual (English and Spanish) and happy to encourage this teaching as well if you like. I focus on hands on learning and playing. Singing, dancing, interactive toys like puzzles and blocks, writing skills, and more. Open to helping with whatever you need whether that is getting them ready for the day, running errands, light household chores, diaper changing and potty training, meal prepping, etc! I am also very comfortable with all types of pets and have a dog myself. I have a degree in neuroscience/human sciences.
