Hi! My name is Sally and I love children & pets and serving parents’ needs for care, transporting, light cooking, cleaning, as well as errand-running when needed. I have operated my own loving and successful licensed childcare when my own children were young. I have worked both professional and labor jobs in my community. I approach my work with a positive attitude and its important to me that each child feels safe and know that they are loved, unique, capable, and important. I respect boundaries & apply a Safety-First mindset. Besides raising my own 2 children who are now grown, I have extensive experience as a co-leader of a Kids Club program that served inner-city children & youth in South Seattle. I also have some special needs experience both before and after having my own children. Additionally, I have life-long experience caring for large & small dogs and a variety of cats of my own and others, including hamsters, a lizard and a turtle. Others’ dogs and cats seem to really love me, so it’s mutual😊🐶🐈⬛. I also have a masters degree in public administration, have worked for years doing social work throughout Thurston, Pierce and Mason counties and I have worked various labor jobs from food & auto parts delivery to pulling fenceboards at a sawmill. I bring a positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic. I have received more trainings than i can list here, including first aid & CPR and mental health first aid. I support movement/exercise & can share about nutrition of foods in a positive, encouraging way. I am also quite capable with household odd jobs and I own my home, doing most updating work myself. I may be higher on the hourly rate chart, but I am more than worth it. I am open to negotiation as well & i give a slight discount to single moms & families in hardship situations. Most importantly, I am engaging with each child according to their personality and comfort. I consistently support parents’ expectations of their child(ren), and am ALWAYS honest, trustworthy and transparent. I am genuine & flexible. I am excited to meet you, your child(ren) & any pet family members too! Last, but not least, i wash my hands upon entry each time and practice careful food handling and prevention of spreading germs, etc. I am so rarely sick and have no allergies, so you never have to second guess about whether or not I am well and i have no problem caring for sick children when parent(s) absolutely must be at work.
Hello there, I have worked with teenagers and kids for years. I have been a scout at a modeling agency for close to 20 years now where I have successfully mentored and guided young aspiring models through their personal and professional journeys. I pride myself on being an open and effective communicator, and I am passionate about continuous learning and development. In addition, I have been a trusted housesitter for almost a decade, utilizing the TrustedHousesitters platform to travel while providing exceptional care for elderly pets. I am skilled in administering medication and dedicated to giving extra attention and nurturing to animals in need of special TLC. A compassionate heart, an unwavering attention to detail and a hard work ethic are my biggest strengths.
Hi, my name is Renatha, I'm 29 and I'm from Brazil. I've been here in the US for almost 7 years. I have a 3yo girl and a 18mo boy. I can either bring one of them as a playmate or they can stay at home with grandma. When taking care of kids I like playing and interacting with them, reading books and sometimes I try to teach some Portuguese. Arts and crafts is usually their favorite, along with going to a playground nearby.. I like letting the kids explore and have fun, even if that means they get a little dirty (of course, with the families that are okay with that). My favorite thing to do is hiking and learning about plants. Every hike I bring along my plants book and I always find something interesting and new. I've learned some plants are eatable, some are medicinal and some are poisonous. Now I know which plants to stay away and which to have it around. My favorite hike was an amazing 3 day hike, 37 miles round trip to a blue glacier right in the middle of the Olympic national forest. That was amazing! *** I do have a bad review, I had to cancel short notice. My car was just not starting and jumping didn't help it. Since then I've got it fixed and I have no more problems with it. ***
“She’s been awesome! We’ve hired her long term after the first few days we had hired her. She goes out to play, crafts and food for our little one and she loves her! ”
Welcome to my profile, I’m Kensy, a bilingual (English & Spanish) caregiver with years of hands-on experience supporting children from infancy through school age. I’ve worked as a nanny, daycare assistant, and currently serve as a paraeducator in a dual language elementary school. I’m confident caring for infants, including feeding, changing, naps, and soothing routines, and I truly enjoy helping little ones feel secure and loved. My approach is rooted in patience, creativity, and respect for each child’s individuality. I have experience incorporating Montessori-inspired methods that encourage independence, exploration, and meaningful play. Whether we’re doing arts and crafts, reading, or singing songs, I strive to make each day engaging and enriching. I’m also happy to support families with light household help and simple meal prep. If you’re looking for a dependable, nurturing, and experienced caregiver, I’d love to be a part of your child’s journey!
