Hi! My name is Ruby, and I’m an experienced nanny with over 5 years of hands-on care for infants, toddlers, and school-age children. I’m certified in sleep training, baby-led weaning, car seat safety, and CPR, and I prioritize creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally supportive environment. I also have additional experience teaching swim lessons, with a strong focus on water safety. I’m based in Grass Valley and currently available for part-time and as-needed positions. I volunteered for 10 years in the youth program at my church (Calvary Chapel, Reno/Sparks), worked as the lead teacher of the school-age summer program at Little Knights and Maidens, led the youth program at my local library for many years, and led my own children through myriad sports and activities (soccer, dance, 4H, Scouts, etc). As my own children are recently off to college, I find myself with more time on my hands, and I would love to serve my community while making some extra tuition money for my own kids. I am an HR Professional with a bachelor’s degree in Business yet part of me wishes I had an educational background to work with children. So babysitting gives me the opportunity to do what I enjoy the most! I was an urbansitter nanny all throughout college in San Francisco as my one and only job for 5 years. I cared for children of all ages, from 3 months - 14 years old. My long term families were for children ages 1-5 and 11-14.
