Active, Patient, Warm, Caring, Safety minded... I recently moved here from Fairfax City Virginia here with the love of my life. I have extensive experience caring for children. I operated an in home child care in Virginia for children 5 weeks old to age 12 for 23 years. We were required to have 16 hours of training a year so I have taken extensive child care training classes over the years. I have passed background checks and have valid First Aid, CPR training currently and all for those years. I love caring for children and I am exceptional with infants, preschool aged children, as well as school aged. I have many excellent references from my families I have worked with over the years as well as neighbors who have known me that long as well. I also have a teaching degree in special education and worked in a day treatment facility for middle school aged children in a self contained classroom setting. I have experience tutoring and helping school aged children with their school work through the years. I have also raised my three sons who are now 26, 24, and 22 years old. In college I worked as a nanny as well as a camp counselor. As a teen I provided swim lessons and was a red cross trained babysitter. I also served as a candy stripper in the hospital. As you can see working with and caring for people and children has been a lifetime endeavor of mine and one I very much enjoy. I am looking to suppliments my income with some part-time or occasional care options. Would love to find some nice families to work with and care for their children or people in need of care. I am open to house sitting, light pet care, light household care, elderly care, or other options as needed. Hi my name is Lyka! I’m from the Bay Area but I’m a current second year biology major at UC Riverside so I live in Riverside currently. I work at the Little Gym of Millbrae when I’m for the holidays or school breaks. The Little Gym of Millbrae is a children’s physical development and enrichment center that offers gymnastics based classes, camps, and birthday parties for kids ranging from 4 months to 12 years old. I’ve been working at the Little Gym for over 3 years since junior year of high school. Looking to find a side job to help pay the cost for my college tuition so I thought babysitting would best fit since I have working experience with kids in different ranges up till 12! Since UrbanSitter, I have experiences when it comes to diaper change, bottle feeding, and putting babiies down for a nap or sleep. I also have a recent experience working an overnight shift this summer with a 7 month old baby. Hello! I just graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a major in Child and Adolescent Studies! I am starting my teaching credential and master's program next semester. I am currently working within a school district in the IE, substitute teaching all the way from preschool to 12th grade. I love art, pets, music, playing outdoors, and so much more!
