Hello, Hola, Bonjour! My name is Sophia and I am a 33 years old childcare professional. My grandparents were from the Philippines and my grandma was from Staten Island, NY! With over 15 years of experience in childcare, including nannying, babysitting and work in preschool classrooms, I am passionate about creating a loving and nurturing environment for children. Currently, I work as a preschool teacher for a local school district. In the past six years I have recently been apart of synchronized skating and theater on ice teams where I went to both national and international competitions. My background as a figure skater and dancer allows me to bring creativity and movement into my interactions with kids. Helping the younger generation of figure skaters on ice fueled my interest in working with young children. In addition to my teaching experiences off ice I have been a figure skating coach at Snoopy's home ice for over 5 years. Hi, my name is Ryann! At this time, I am only looking for occasional jobs as I cannot commit to a regularly scheduled babysitting job. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in criminal justice studies from San Francisco State University, and I am planning to go back to school to obtain a master's degree sometime in the next few years. I am up-to-date on all my vaccinations and boosters (including COVID-19), and I am trained in CPR/AED/First Aid, however my certification has lapsed. While in college, I took three courses specifically related to child and adolescent psychology and development. I began babysitting when I was 12 years old, and have worked with children of various ages over the years (newborns to preteens) as a babysitter, nanny, and volunteer camp counselor. When weather permits, I like to take the kids outside, for walks or to play at the park. However, I am just as happy staying inside, playing games, doing arts and crafts, or reading to the kids.
