I am currently a swim instructor. I have worked with children my whole life. I have a CPR certification and am willing to get first aid certification as I have had it before. I am very willing to work with parents and have experience with children and pets. My hours are flexible if needed.

Education: Hi, my name is Mariel. I graduated from San Diego State University in May of 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a double minor in Child and Family Development and Spanish. I am fluent in English and Spanish. About me: I am 34 years old. I was born in San Diego. I recently moved to the South Bay with my family. I’m a proud mom to two young children, ages 2 and 5. Work experience: I have over 10 years of experience working with children in a variety of settings. I spent more than four years as a preschool teacher, where I worked with infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-aged children. I also worked for over three years as a behavior therapist, supporting young children on the spectrum. Most recently, I worked as a nanny for a wonderful family for nearly three years. Throughout the years, I have also babysat for many families between full-time positions. Currently, I run my own daycare, where I provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children to learn and grow. My experience includes working in classroom settings, providing 1:1 support and caring for multiple siblings in a home environment. I am familiar with the Taking Cara Babies sleep program, Baby-Led Weaning and the Big Little Feelings approach. As the oldest sister of eight siblings my story life helped me to develop the skills to care for kids of all ages, evolving into a problem-solving patient caregiver. In my youth, I started volunteering as a babysitter and tutoring in my community. Later, I went to medical school and graduated as an International Medical graduate in Ecuador, I am currently volunteering at Yale School of Medicine conducting remote research on child development while studying to take the exams for the US medical license. While in college, I practiced Andean folkloric ballet as a professional dancer which aided to sharpen my skillset for teamwork and leadership, expanding my creativity which comes in handy in activities for kids. I am fluent in English and a native Spanish speaker, so I could tutor kids teaching Spanish if it’s an interest of their parents for them to become polylingual. I am also an adept pet house sitter and enjoy gardening. I have professional knowledge on nutrition and am passionate about children's well-being and healthy lifestyles. I am a loving aunty of four cuties, and I like to keep up to date with the animated movies to be able to give them my point of view on their topics while reading fantasy books to them as much as I can. I aspire to become a pediatric surgical oncologist, and will be applying for pediatric and surgical residency programs for 2027. I have a very flexible schedule until then. Hello, my name is Vivian. I currently am enrolled in my 2nd year of a Radiologic technologist program. I also work Part time as a Medical Assistant with 8 years of experience. I am CPR certified. I have been babysitting since I was a teenager. I’ve cared for children aged newborns to teens. I enjoy making memories with children as simple as watching a fun movie, creating crafts, spending time outdoors or having dance parties. I also have some experience with Senior care. Simple tasks including daily activities such as house work, meal prep, cooking, feeding assistance, dressing, shopping, etc. I have plenty of experience caring for Dogs and cats as well.
