Hi! My name is Kayla, and I’m currently a law student at USC. I’m excited to spend my summer helping families with dependable, attentive, and engaging childcare. I’ve always loved working with children and have experience through tutoring, as well as growing up as 1 of 10 kids with many nieces and nephews. Being part of a big family has given me plenty of hands-on experience caring for children of different ages, and I genuinely enjoy creating a safe, positive, and fun environment where kids feel comfortable being themselves. Whether that means helping with homework, reading stories, getting creative with arts and crafts, exploring at the park, or doing mini science experiments, I love finding activities that keep children engaged and excited to learn. As the proud owner of a Saint Bernard and a Bernese Mountain Dog, I have plenty of experience caring for large dogs and would be happy to help in pet-friendly households (including homes with cats!). Hello! I am Los Angeles based, working part time in advertising and looking for a regular part time or occasional childcare position, ideally 10-15 hours a week. I am one of six kids and began working with children at the age of 13. I'm now in my thirties, with many years of nannying behind me. I have taken care of children of all ages and stages of childhood. I have been certified in CPR in the past, and would be willing to update that certification if needed. I am fun, present, and engaging with children. I believe in the importance of enjoying nature, and will often take children on hikes or other outdoor excursions. As a former ballet dancer, I have taught children's dance classes and encourage creative expression in whichever form it might appear. In prior nanny positions I've offered tutoring/homework help with elementary and high school courses.
