I am a reliable, caring and responsible substitute teacher and mother with over 15 years of experience working with and supporting school-age children. I am comfortable helping with homework, daily routines, supervision, transportation and creating a safe and positive environment. I have experience working with children of different ages, personalities and needs. In addition to childcare, I have extensive experience caring for animals. I have owned and cared for multiple dogs and have experience running a dog-walking business. I am comfortable with dogs of different sizes, breeds and temperaments, as well as cats and other pets. I also have a background in music, including piano and violin and speak multiple languages. I enjoy encouraging creativity, learning, confidence, and curiosity in children. I come from a big family myself, having 3 siblings, so I can appreciate differences in schedules and hobbies. During my undergrad time, I had the opportunity one summer to start babysitting a 9month old for a few hours a day, a couple days a week. Eventually, I became a full time, live-in nanny for the family. This involved early-morning to late evening care Monday-Friday plus some weekends. Some days were spent hanging around the home or going for walks in the neighborhood, while other days involved outside excursions like day trips to the science center or taking the child to weekly gymnastics. While I lived with the family, I would help with household chores such as regular cleaning and prepping meals. I recently graduated with my MS in Sport and Exercise Science, so I am excited to spend some time outside of school and take on new challenges. Currently, I am a group fitness instructor with a couple different companies, and I am looking for an alternative to fitness to help fill my schedule. I really enjoy any opportunity where I get to meet new people and experience a new setting.

I am a single mother of 3 grown kids. Two are away at college, the other is a HS Junior and is never home. I am basically an empty nester. I miss having young kids around and I am looking to make some extra money to help with expenses. I am available most evenings and weekends. I especially love babies and toddlers. I also have a dog and am comfortable with pets. I am also happy to assist with elderly for companionship as well as errands. I was an elementary school teacher as well as a pre-school teacher for many years. I changed careers yrs ago because as a single income household my teaching salary was not enough. I work in the financial services industry currently from 8-4 daily.

Over 20 years of pet care and pet owner. Currently no personal pets, sharing my love with other people's fur-babies. I'm a part time pharmacist and also take care of my aging grandmother.
