Growing up in a big family, I was always surrounded by children, which sparked my passion for caregiving early on. As a teen, I began teaching swim lessons to children ages 6 and under and worked as a lifeguard for about three years. During the winter months, I served as a party hostess at a bowling alley, where I was frequently requested by both kids and parents for birthday celebrations! One of my favorite roles was working as a Disney princess at parties and events—a perfect blend of my love for children and performing. I’m a professionally trained singer, and I enjoy playing the piano, guitar, and songwriting. Most recently, I served in the U.S. Air Force as an intelligence analyst for a special operations aircraft. During my time in service, I was honored to be one of the most frequently selected National Anthem performers at the Wing level, and I continue to sing at professional sporting events. I’ve often been described as fun, caring, and extroverted, with a warm and calming presence that helps children—whether shy or spirited—feel safe and at ease around me.

I am a part-time college student at the University of Maryland in College Park. I have years of experience working with children as well as engaging with them outside of a professional setting. I have 2 young nieces (10 and 8) whom I often babysit, drive to and from activities, and keep busy at home while my brother is working. My prior babysitting experience also includes neighbors, children of friends and family, and other relatives. I grew up a dancer so as soon as I became old enough, I was student teaching classes for pre-schoolers and eventually taught some classes on my own. I have worked individually and in groups with ages 3-16. I can confidently say I know how to best meet the needs of all ages while maintaining a fun and playful environment.

I have worked with infants ages 6-weeks to 8 months during the summers and winters that I had off from school. I have also been an intern and student teacher at an elementary school. I have multiple pets of my own including both dogs and cats. I have been taking care of cleaning my house and cooking food for many years and am a huge fan of clean, healthy, and nutritious eating. I am an extremely creative person with a passion for arts while I also love going on walks and trips to the beach. As I have experience with infants I have a knack for exposing children to different environments, tactile exposure, foods, and textures. Due to my background in education I also am able to incorporate learning into almost anything. I have been also always been able to create strong rapport and bonds with children from infancy to elementary grades.

Hi my name is Charity but I go by Ms Harmony. I have over 20 years of experience working with young children. I was an infant and toddler preschool teacher for 15 years and a professional Super Nanny for 10years. I majored in Early Childhood Education and Child Development and became a Certified Newborn Care Specialist, Postpartum Doula, Peer Breastfeeding Support Counselor and a Professionally Certified Parenting Coach. Caring for young children and supporting parents is my passion and it brings so much joy into my life. I have a very special gift for comforting and connecting with newborns, infants and toddlers. I am very patient and can handle a crying, frustrated or difficult baby with the ability to respond to their needs in an affectionate and nurturing way. Keeping children safe is so important to me that I became a certified instructor through the American Red Cross to use and teach Adult, Child and Infant CPR/AED and First Aid to new parents and caregivers. I have tons of experience working with children, especially those in the five and under range. I have previously worked as a camp counselor for preschool aged children, in which I was the lead counselor responsible for fifteen four year old children. I also used to be a swim coach, teaching assistant, and still babysit and teach swim lessons today. All of these jobs have given me a multitude of different experiences with kids and have taught me how to best work with them depending on the situation.
