Hello, I am Mainou(My-new) and originally from Minnesota. I mostly just babysit when I’m free and can fit it in. Been on hiatus on urban sitter for awhile but super excited that I can finally do this again. I come from a BIG family and as one of the older kids I definitely have a lot of experience taking care of the young ones from my teenage to my Aunty years. Also assisted my mother during her daycare years.

I’ve worked at Life Time Athletic in the Kids Academy department and summer camp, where I led activities and taught gymnastics. I've been working independently as a babysitter since I was 15 years old. Over the past 6 years, I've had the privilege of serving as a nanny for multiple families, caring for children ranging in ages from newborns to school-aged. My experience includes everything from bottle-feeding infants to school pick-ups and drop-offs, and I tailor my care to each family's unique needs. As a former homeschooling parent myself, I bring a strong educational and creative approach to childcare. Caring for children has been a big part of my life for years, especially babies and young children. Much of my experience comes from helping care for my two younger brothers throughout their childhoods, as well as babysitting relatives and family friends. These experiences helped me build strong skills with routines, emotional support, and everyday childcare needs. I take a patient, caring approach and focus on helping children feel safe, comfortable, and understood. I also worked as a student aide for special needs students during high school, which taught me adaptability, compassion, and how to support each child’s unique needs. I recently graduated high school and will be starting college to study Social Work. I currently work with a family caring for their twins, but I mainly look for one-time, date-night, weekend, and as-needed babysitting opportunities. I have reliable transportation through family support and rideshare services and am working toward getting my driver’s license.
