Hi, I’m Lucia! Brooklyn has been my home for over a decade, though I’m originally from California. As the eldest of three and the first grandchild among 30 cousins, I’ve been caring for children of all ages for as long as I can remember. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of looking after wonderful kids, ages 1.5–16, and many families have told me I became their child’s favorite sitter—the highest compliment I could hope for! I love getting to know each child’s unique personality and tailoring activities to what excites them most—whether that’s baking cookies, arts & crafts, reading stories, or spending time outdoors. My focus is always to keep little ones safe, happy, and engaged. Families describe me as punctual, kind, patient, fun, and fully present. Please feel free to check my references—they’re filled with kind words from families I’ve had the privilege to work with. I would be honored to care for your child and create a nurturing, playful space where they can thrive. I look forward to connecting! Warmly, Lucia
“Lucia was awesome! Super sweet and punctual. We will hire her again!”
Childcare for me once was a hobby that has blossomed into my life long purpose. I have always adored children and take pride in being a part of so many family, friends and associates’ villages. I have been a nanny both part time and full time for multiples and a nanny share. Currently, I’ve received my Child Development Associate, I am a full time lead teacher at a daycare, & a direct support provider for a child with special needs, 4 years and counting. After school hours and most weekends I am a babysitter for local, school and referred clients. In the past few years I’ve focused on expanding my knowledge and experience. I hold several certifications & undergo extensive trainings to comply with both state & daycare regulations. I will always go above and beyond to grow, as no day is the same and I love that I get to tap into my fun side. I enjoy having a great time, teaching, fostering developmental growth and being a nurturer. Speaking of fun, my previous babysitter agency job provided me opportunities in places such as hotels, back up care in the home, & events i.e.; weddings on a weekly basis. I even supervised several different Sunday school group activities. Please be advised, I am CPR/First Aid/AED trained so safety is a top priority. I am in search of full time & occasional needs. I hope that we are a match!
Hi! I'm Isabelle, am 29 years old and live in NYC. I have an AA in Art and a BA in Politics. I work as a case manager/community organizer at a food pantry on the UES. I used to babysit during college and always enjoyed it which is why I still occasionally enjoy picking up some gigs here or there :) I grew up in Germany with an American mother, a German father, and am the oldest of 4 siblings. I'm fluent in both German and English and have worked with bilingual kids in both a nanny and teaching environment. After graduating from HS in Germany and professionally working in the performing arts growing up, I was interested in working socially with families and kids who were less fortunate/had special needs. In the summer of 2015, I started an art+living project in Germany with kids and families who had fled their countries. In 2016, I became part of a therapeutic horse farm that focused on working with kids with special needs. I was the outdoor teacher and leader of an inclusive forest group consisting of 5-7 children aged 4-10 years old. Upon moving to the USA in 2017, I worked as a teacher at the Seattle Waldorf School and absolutely ❤️ it. In the summer of 2022, I worked with kids in Ukraine+Poland, primarily teaching or working with mothers and babies. I've been working with runaway homeless youth at places such as The Door and The Ali Forney Center for the past several years. Working with kids has always brought me joy and kept me grounded during hectic times. I nannied during undergrad and, while I have experience with children of all age ranges, I have primarily worked with infants and babies during their first year of life. I have experience with night-nannying, sleep training, feeding, and multiples. For those of you with older kids, bedtime routine is no problem either as I have had many longer term after-school gigs as well. I am confident in navigating the city responsibly, including school pick-up, and use of public transit. As a nanny, I'd describe myself as relaxed, punctual, reliable, flexible, confident, reasonable, communicative, consistent and dedicated. I very much enjoy working with families of different backgrounds, and I am absolutely LGBTQ+ family-friendly, being part of one myself. I can provide references and am happy to answer any further questions. I'm vaccinated and CPR trained. ⭐️ When I'm not nannying, I am playing soccer, going for a run, cheering on the WNBA+ NWSL, going out with friends or staying in with my books.
“Isabelle was great. On time, asked thoughtful questions and kept us updated on how our girl was doing. ”
Hello! My name is Maya. I have 12 years of paid experience, and am CPR certified. I am fully vaccinated and have received both my Bachelor’s and Master's degree. I work full time but have flexibility during the week and weekends! I have experience with all ages, including infants, and multiple kids. I can prepare simple meals, tidy up, and open to discuss other tasks. I am a friendly, attentive, kind, caring, and experienced babysitter and would love to help your family! Thanks!
