Hi, I’m Maria! NYC-based childcare provider with 10+ years of experience across the city. I specialize in calm, reliable evening care; bedtime routines, quiet nights in, and making sure parents actually enjoy their time out without worrying. Available for date nights and occasional sits: • Tuesday & Wednesday evenings • Some Thursday & Monday evenings • Weekend evenings by request (not same day) I prioritize safety, clear communication, and consistency. Families I work with know they can count on me. Let’s connect! 🌿

Maria is such a pleasant person, my children ages 10, and 8 feel safe in her care. They always request for her return. I admire how my 11 month old also gravitates to her. She shows patience kindness and understanding with the children and I will highly recommend her to family and friends that’s in need of a sitter.

Hi! My name is Nancy, and hopefully, I'll be your family's next babysitter. I live in Bed-Stuy and first moved to Brooklyn 10+ years ago. But, I was born and raised in Oakland, CA. I have grown up working in childcare environments. My mom is a preschool teacher for the Oakland Unified School District, so I've spent most of my life tagging along and assisting her in every aspect of her job - the curriculum, nutrition, or just fun time. Formerly, I was a full time nanny for a 3 month old til she was 18 months old and started Montessori. I’m particularly experienced with that age of development from bottle feeding, preparing homemade baby food, doing some family assistant, and more I am experienced babysitting for all ages, from newborns to preteens. My skills with children can be catered to your child and adapted to any environment. I have experience with families from the conscious Bay Area lifestyle to the alternatively fast-paced Los Angeles and New York clientele. (I've lived and babysat in all cities) I love children, and they love me. As a caretaker, I don't believe in being absent-minded or distant. Being introduced to new people can be difficult for children. It is best to make the transition easier through hands-on, enriching approaches such as games, creative activities, storytelling, field trips, etc. Plus, it helps that I can be just as silly as any kid! Skills - • College graduate with corporate work history •Can do light housecleaning and cooking - I'm a passionate cook and great with cleaning. •I'm fluent in Vietnamese - written and verbal. •Experienced with severe food allergies. •Very experienced taking on a household manager role and I have over two years of personal assistant experience. • I am experienced in the hospitality industry so that I can maintain a bright, hospitable attitude. I also plan great birthday parties! Examples of activities I would do with your kids: •Cooking - kids love making pizzas, helping me cook, trying new foods •Baking - baking or decorating with kids. Can be GF, Dairy free, refined sugar free •Crafts - puzzles, paintings, drawings, etc •Writing & drawing storybooks •Going to the park •Exploring a museum, exhibit, or children's focussed art/music studio As a professional, experienced, educated, warm, and bubbly babysitter, I would make an excellent choice for your kids! My personality is best expressed in person, so let's schedule an interview! Thanks for considering me!

Nancy was amazing. Super flexible and easy to communicate with. She was right on time, and clearly has years of experience. Our 2 year-old was comfortable with her immediately. Bedtime went great and we had a wonderful night out!

Booked by 17 families in New York, NY

Hi, My name is Yulia! I moved to New York in 2020, shortly after graduating from the University of San Francisco with a B.A. in psychology and focus in child development. In high school, I began volunteering with a therapeutic horsemanship for children with cognitive, developmental, and learning disabilities. This is where I developed my passion for caring for children and studying human development. I have over fifteen years of experience, including babysitting for multiple families, nannying, completing my capstone practicum as a pre-school aid, and most recently working as a behavior technician for children on the Autism Spectrum. I currently work at a medical communications agency, and I have found myself with some extra time in the evenings and on the weekends. I find children to be very entertaining and energizing and genuinely enjoy getting to know each of their personalities! I especially love being a part of their learning journey and helping them navigate new challenges in school and in life! I look forward to meeting you and your kidos!

Yulia was great - punctual and reliable and knew what she was doing. We used her for date night while our baby was asleep.

New York
$25 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 148 families in New York, NY

My name is Luke and I'm a graduate of New York University ('16) with a BFA in Drama. Some of my favorite things to do are go to Broadway shows (obviously), playing tennis, writing, and going for a run along the Hudson River while jamming to Taylor Swift. I enjoy all things Harry Potter and will talk with anyone about it for hours. I've been babysitting in various capacities since I was 14. First, it was occasionally babysitting my neighbor's daughters while she cleaned the house or ran to the store. After that, I did some student teaching in first and second grade classrooms for a year, along with babysitting kids who were involved with my high school's musical productions. Just before graduating college in 2016, I transitioned into date night and after-school babysitting in NYC, working for close to 200 different families (so far)! My favorite thing about babysitting is making a connection with the kids I work with. Relationships are very valuable to me, regardless of if it's my family, my friends, or the people I work with. Being able to know that I've made not only a bond with the kids, but a positive impact as well, is the most rewarding part of my job. When it comes to working with kids, I've basically done it all at one time or another. Among my favorite jobs have been being a nanny for a number of incredible families after-school; working at a children's theatre in Manhattan, where I taught musical theatre classes for ages 3-14; and working as a tennis and theatre counselor at an all-girls summer camp in Maine, where I taught girls ages 7-16 and was a bunk counselor for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. Most recently, I've worked at several day camps in Manhattan - Asphalt Green Summer Day Camp, where I was the On-Site Program Manager for two years, and Steve and Kate's Camp at Kips Bay, where I was the Site Director. I am currently the PS 527 Program Director for the Imogen Foundation, an after-school program focusing on SEL and emotional literacy. I am very skilled in managing large groups of kids. As a camp counselor, you quickly learn to think on your feet because there's nothing more stressful than dealing with 200 incredibly bored kids stuck inside on a rainy day. Through my teaching experience, I've learned quite a bit of classroom management and how to command the attention of a room. Whether I'm working with one kid or several dozen, I have the experience to make the most of any situation. I look forward to hearing from you! :)

Luke was very flexible and good with our toddler.
