Hi! I’m Breana, and I’ve been working with children for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was always helping care for my younger siblings and cousins, and I’ve been working professionally with children since I was 15, giving me 9 years of childcare experience. I’m currently a lead preschool teacher, where I work with children every day to support their learning, development, and social-emotional growth. I’m comfortable caring for children of all ages and have experience with everything from infants to school-age kids. I’m also comfortable transporting children and enjoy planning fun, active days. Whenever possible, I love getting kids outside to explore parks, play games, and enjoy nature. One of the things I’m most passionate about is supporting children’s emotional development. I believe every child deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued. I strive to help children understand their big feelings and guide them toward healthy, age-appropriate ways to express and work through those emotions. I have experience working with children with ADHD, Autism, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD). I understand that every child is unique, and I enjoy adapting my approach to meet each child’s individual needs while creating a supportive and encouraging environment. I know a little bit of ASL and am interested in continuing to learn more. I also love arts and crafts and anything Disney, so I enjoy planning creative activities and bringing a little extra fun to each day. My goal is to create a safe, fun, and engaging environment where children feel comfortable and where parents can feel confident knowing their children are in good hands. I bring over 15 years of experience caring for children from infancy through the teen years, including roles as a nanny, babysitter, ESL teacher, special needs tutor, and current preschool program assessor. I am CPR and First Aid certified, bilingual in English and Spanish, and conversational in French and Mandarin Chinese. My approach to caregiving is child-led, trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and play-based. I enjoy creating engaging, developmentally supportive experiences through outdoor play, art, reading, healthy cooking, and mindfulness activities. I am a mother of 3. my daughter is 18 and my son is 6 and my other daughter is 2. my parents did foster care when I was younger, so I was exposed to all sorts of people and kids. I babysat for years, worked at a daycare and helped with many kids programs in my area and community. I love to be silly and creative.

Hello! I am a former 6-12th grade teacher going back to school for nursing. I am looking for occasional or part time work on the days that I don’t have classes. My formal experience with children includes teaching middle school and high school, as well as summer camp with preschool to middle school aged children, and as an educational assistant for a special needs program. Although it has been awhile since I officially offered childcare, I grew up taking care of four younger siblings as well as foster children. I did often babysit for families with multiple children of different ages throughout high school and am looking to start again. I am comfortable with children of all ages, and am happy to help with light household chores and pets if needed. As a former teacher, I have a lot of experience with lesson planning and engaging kids in science (and other subjects too) regardless of their age and I would be happy to implement this in any childcare position.
