New to Portland, OR, I moved here with my husband and two cats from Nashville, TN so I could study naturopathic medicine at NUNM. Before starting medical school, I worked as a professional nanny and part-time babysitter for 4 years after graduating from Vanderbilt University with my bachelors. I’ve cared for children of all ages from infant to pre-teen and we always find a way to have fun and learn new to things! My responsibilities have included meal prep, drop off and pick up from school or camp, morning and nighttime routines, and general tidying of the house. I would describe myself as punctual, professional, and flexible under pressure. I have reliable transportation and a clean driving record. I have also house sat and dog watched for a family I had nannied for, where my duties included checking food and water, administering medicine, and taking her for walks. A nanny working for one family looking to share with another young family. The family lives in the Richmond neighborhood of SE and consists of two boys ages 4 (soon to be five) and 7. They are watched by the nanny during the workweek, roughly 4 hours, five days a week. The four year old will be starting kindergarten this coming Friday and the 7 year old started second grade this week! Some of the things the boys love are, going for walks to the park, legos, reading books, science projects, baking, making art and building. Mom works from home so can help out in an emergency.
