Hi! I’m a therapist who works with tween/teen girls and I recently moved to Portland. I love spending time with girls ages 6–18 and am available for after-school or before school rides, homework structure support, and evening help. My speciality is mentoring and supporting girls in their emotional development, friendship world, regulation, and self confidence! Before becoming a therapist, I nannied for many families and have a lot of experience working with children and teenagers, supporting families and am still in touch with many of them! I'm Haley, a 21-year-old originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, now calling Portland home while I finish my senior year at Lewis and Clark College. I’m studying International Relations and Hispanic Studies and love exploring new cultures and ideas. Babysitting is the perfect way for me to stay balanced during this busy year, while also doing something I truly enjoy. I’ve been babysitting since I was 14, starting with families in my neighborhood, and it’s been a big part of my life ever since. I’m a responsible and caring person with camp counselor experience! I think children deserve to be heard, and their needs met. I am a relaxed stabilizing presence for my campers, and am good at turning any situation into a positive experience. Positive forms of learning and personal connection matter a lot to me. Additionally I have experience with Nero divergent (OCD and On the spectrum) children. I am watchful and entertaining for the young ones! I am mostly used to managing larger groups of campers, but my best moments have always been with smaller groups or individual campers, listening to feelings and resolving problems! I've done care for younger children ages less than 1 - 3 for relatives outside of my camp experience. Hello! I’m Sierra. I currently work as a realtor in West Linn for Matin Real Estate but prior to this work, I worked in social services for a decade. I worked primarily as a vocational counselor helping individuals with their careers whom have a disability, injury, or mental health condition. I’ve also done medical case management, worked with individuals on the autism spectrum and their families, and volunteered in the big brothers big sisters program to mentor youth. I have for many years taken care of my younger siblings from the time they were born up through teenage years. I also nanny for a friend who has a 5 year old child regularly as well. My education is a BA in Psychology and MPA degree. I am an excellent communicator, organized, thoughtful, and kind. With my education background, I am comfortable tutoring children and teenagers as I graduated with honors both in undergrad and graduate school and have taken challenging classes in a wide variety of studies.
