My proudest accomplishment is raising my two sons into caring young adults. Second proudest is earning my degree in elementary education at 40 years old. I have always had a love for working with children and helping them grow and learn. I currently work as a substitute teacher for Tacoma Public Schools, so my schedule is flexible. When my younger son was a toddler, he joined me at my job as a daycare assistant, where I assisted caring for a small group of toddlers, as well as provided one on one care for a sweet baby from when he was three months old until he turned one. I have stayed in touch with their family and have enjoyed seeing the young man he has become. I also spend a lot of time with my 5 year old twin nieces, and we love dancing, reading, and going on nature walks. I have experience in creating engaging and educational activities for children of all ages. I am currently learning ASL through weekly online classes.
