Nessa 5 reviews
$30 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Vanessa, and I have over 10 years of experience working with children of all ages, from newborns to teens. For the past 6 years, I've been with my current family full-time during the week. On weekends, I regularly help other families in Lafayette, providing childcare, doing overnights with the kids, and sometimes even dog sitting! I'm bilingual (English and Portuguese), CPR certified, and very flexible with scheduling. I'm also planning to move from my family's home by end of December and be based in San Francisco, so I'll be looking for a full-time position by then! I'm patient, responsible, and truly love what I do. I create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where kids feel supported. I'm happy to follow household routines. I'm also interested in becoming a certified doula to support growing families even more. I have many great references available upon request so fell free to reach out-I'd love to connect!

I cannot recommend Nessa highly enough! She is incredibly capable and dependable. Always showing up on time and ready to care for our children with genuine warmth and attentiveness. She is extremely responsible and trustworthy, which gives us complete peace of mind whenever we’re away. She clearly loves working with children and treats them with patience, kindness, and respect. She also respects our parenting style and household boundaries, which we deeply appreciate. She’s become my go-to person whenever I need someone; whether it’s a last-minute change or a planned night out, I know I can count on her. It’s such a relief to have someone so reliable and caring to turn to. In addition to being wonderful with the kids, she keeps everything neat and organized and even prepares delicious, healthy meals. Her cooking is a bonus we didn’t expect, and the kids love it! It’s so hard to find good sitters nowadays, but we feel so lucky to have her as part of our lives. She’s truly awesome!

With over a decade of experience caring for children from infancy through school age, I am passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where kids can thrive. I focus on supporting their development through age appropriate activities, fostering creativity, and encouraging learning every day. My goal is to partner with families to provide consistent care, guidance, and love, ensuring children feel happy, secure, and valued

Jennifer was great with my son. She took care of him and in general really is drawn to kids. She understands the child’s needs very quickly. I wil definitely hire her again.

Hi there! I’m Roua, 29, and I’m looking forward to finding a family to work with. I’ve cared for children of all ages, from infants as young as 5 months to kids up to 13 years old. Growing up, I spent a lot of time looking after my nieces, and I’ve always loved helping kids learn, explore, and grow. As I got older, I worked at the “Kids Club” at the Concord UFC Gym for 2 years, where I cared for multiple children and helped plan fun and creative activities. I’m happy to help with meals, light housekeeping, and coming up with games and activities that keep kids engaged and happy. I’m also a San Francisco State University graduate in Anthropology, and I bring patience, energy, and a love for working with children to every family I work with! COVID-19 vaccinated

Roua was wonderful with my 6 month old! Phenomenal communicator, and super confident, thoughtful, experienced, flexible and caring. Strongly recommend Roua!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
