I’m a recent graduate with a B.A. in Sociology from UCLA. I have experience with children ages ranging from 4 months to 13 years old. I absolutely adore kids and have worked with them all my life. I’m also a huge animal person. I grew up in Marin, where I went to Tam High, and just moved back to live in SF! My experience includes being a teacher at Stapleton Ballet Fantasy Summer Camp while I danced at the company before college, and during college, I worked at the UCLA Lab School as a teaching assistant for grades Pre-K thru 5th. So, I am definitely available to help with homework! I have babysat since I was 12 years old, and truly love doing it. I recently started a job as a teacher at the Town School for Boys within the Extended Day Program. I hope to pursue obtaining my credentials and continue my career in education.

Kayla is always such a gem. She's always great with our kids (6yo and 4yo).

Hey, My name is Pride, and I'd love to be considered for your nanny position. I've been a childcare provider for 14 years and am a certified Birth & Postpartum Doula, Childbirth Educator, CPR/First Aid trained, and I also hold a diploma as an English teacher. I've spent much of my career caring for infants and young children, and I genuinely love supporting their growth and development. I provide a warm, patient, and nurturing environment where children feel safe, loved, and heard. I enjoy reading, singing, painting, and creative activities that encourage learning through play. My experience has taught me to be dependable, thoughtful, compassionate, and calm. I'd love the opportunity to learn more about your family and hope to hear from you. Thank you for your time! As a doula, I support families before and after birth, strengthening my patience, communication, and understanding of each child's unique needs. I would be honored to care for your little one and support your family.

Pontsho (also called Pride) has been a godsend! My kids are 10yo and 12yo boys and we all felt really connected to Pride when we first met. Out of all the sitters we interviewed, my kids requested her above anyone else. And she's been just wonderful! She plays all-day-long games of Monopoly, takes the kids on long walks to playgrounds, reads stories, plays games, hangs out doing crafts and chatting, makes them lunch ... My kids are visiting their dad so i'm not around, but they call me every day and they're just really content and happy. It was hard to find someone from a distance and only meet her over FaceTime! But Pride's references were amazing and I can see why. Knowing that I can feel safe and comfortable from a distance is priceless.

Hello! I have years of experience caring for children from infants to school age. I have experience with daily routines (feedings, nap, and play time), transport to school and activities, organizing games and activities that meet their needs and interest, and communicating closely with parents to provide an overall positive environment. I currently work in the field of ABA within the elementary school setting, supporting children with developmental/learning disabilities, but I’m looking to work with a great family on my free time (after school hours, during school closures, occasional weekends). Let me know if I can help with your child and if you have any questions. Thanks ! :)

Celina babysat our 18 month old (and occasionally our 4 year old) twice a week for 3 months, during a very tricky time Covid-wise. She was wonderful with both kids, as well as professional and reliable with us. We really appreciated her great communication and calm maturity during a very challenging time. We trusted her completely and would absolutely hire her again for our future needs!

CURRENTLY OUT OF TOWN Hello! My name is Katya and I have been taking care of kids for over 10 years. I am comfortable caring for babies and children 6 months and older. I have completed 3 Early Childhood Education courses at Merritt College: 1.) Childhood Development 2.) The Child, the Family and the Community 3.) Infant and Toddler Care With children I enjoy neighborhood park excursions, reading, drawing 🎨ballet dancing 🩰and playing in gardens with sticks bugs and leaves 🌿🐞🪵🍃. I am dedicated to empowering children to identify and express their emotions and to be curious about the world around them. I would describe myself as calm, introverted and low-key. However, I am very comfortable setting boundaries with children when needed and using firm but positive reminders about house rules and playing/sharing gently with siblings ☺️ I have a Masters degree from San Francisco State University in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. I am a Bay Area native and prefer getting bookings in San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley or Albany :) While I do live in Oakland, I am a pro at getting quickly by public transit to SF 🚂🚍👍 and always give myself plenty of time.

Sierra immediately connected with our 2.5 year old, and was engaged and caring with him and our 6 month baby. Warm, kind and responsible. I’d highly recommend her!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
