Hi there! I’m Soha :) Unfortunately, my original profile was deactivated (along with my 5 star rating and 30+ families) but I have over a decade of experience providing regular childcare to families of infants, toddlers (my fave age group), and even teenagers! Happy to provide reviews and references from several former and current parents I babysit for :) I absolutely love babysitting and in the past several years, I have made it my goal to ensure every family I’ve ever had a gig or regular babysitting job for (about several dozen.. and counting!) receives the best childcare! I am available to babysit for date-nights, events, or any occasion that requires a night out! I don’t mind last minute requests so if you have an emergency or cancellation, I am happy to help and often consider myself an “on demand babysitter” for a lot of families that need a same-day, or even same-hour babysitter! Aside from being a babysitter, I have worked in the legal field for several years. Prior to being a litigation paralegal, I worked in corporate law and legal operations. I also volunteer as a crisis counselor for CrisisTextLine and as a Coach for SoccerShots. Most of my jobs required a lot of emotional energy and empathy, but were extremely gratifying and gave me valuable experience, training to tackle any type of emergency, and a very basic, but universal, understanding of humans. I’ve loved babysitting since I first started using UrbanSitter back in college - it really helped me connect with families, and that connection and confidence as a babysitter is really important and gratifying!

Soha worked with our family for quite a while and she was honestly great with the kids and they were always happy to be around her and she was very patient and caring and she was always on time very responsible and I never had to worry when the kids were with her and she kept them busy with fun activities and made sure they were safe and comfortable I would happily recommend her to any family looking for someone trustworthy and genuinely good with children

Hello my name is Adriana and I'm from Caracas, Venezuela. I speak Spanish and English fluently. After high school I studied at a culinary school. I love food and cooking in general. After working in Venezuela in some kitchens I decided to come to US as an au pair, to learn the language, and more about this country and culture. Also I love kids, they are adorable and funny. So I knew that being an au pair would be a great. opportunity and experience for me. So, I came to the SF bay area (Novato) in 2008 untll 2010. I was an au pair living with a great american family taking care 2 boys. They were 4 and 1 years old when I got there. I was responsible for them for 45 hours a week while my host parents were at work. My duties include making their meals, laundry, homework, etc. I also played with them, read books to them, and participated in their daily activities. It was a great experience. After 2 years as an aupair. I started working as a nanny with an awesome family in Dubouce Triangle, taking care 1 boy (5 year old) and 1 girl (3 years old) also 45 hours a week. After being an live in nanny I stared to work ocationally eith kids. I have worked with all ages. I like all kids but my favorites are infants and todlers. I am currently taking care of a seven months old baby two days a week, and am available for occasional night or weekends. I am flexible with my schedule, (given at least two day's notice), and am always looking for extra hours, so please feel free to contact me! Also I'm animal lover so if you have a dog, cat, fish, snake, lizard, mouse, or whatever I'll be totally ok.... ;) NOTE: For ocatinal nanny share. the rate is $25 per family p/hr.

Very friendly, flexible and professional! My dog, baby and 4yo all enjoyed being with her. Adriana helped us with playtime, dinner, clean up, bath, and bedtime. Looking forward to working with her again.

Dear family : Thanks for taking the time to read my profile. I'm Jenny (Yanli), a college student at UC Berkeley currently. It's the 10-year babysitting experience that taught me self-parenting and to stay curious about everything. It's fun to explore new things and keep learning. From this mindset, my journey started at Berkeley Adult School for basic English in 2016 as an au pair, and then Berkeley City College for psychology& cognitive science from 2[removed](part-time), and now at UC Berkeley for Philosophy of Mind (2024-2026). While I'm in school, it's the love from the kids and parents that inspires me to move forward and keep learning. Now, I come back to play with kids since I miss the nature of kids and have extra time in my last semester in 2026 spring. Having taught kids art, acrylic painting, and DIY paper craft through this 10-year journey, I'm eager to keep exploring the creativity kids naturally have. I used to be an au Pair in 2016-2017 after I got training in New Jersey for one week about babysitting, as well as a CPR certificate and a first aid certificate from the American Red Cross. Regarding personality and lifestyle, I'm a big fan of yoga, love art so much. I'd love to go to nature with kids, do yoga together, and visit museums. Happy to share what I'd like to do with kids: 1. It's my great pleasure to teach yoga to kids if kids are interested in it. ( I'm a certified 200-hour yoga instructor from Yoga Alliance) 2. Paper craft, including origami paper craft and DIY holiday cards. 3. Acrylic painting with kids. ( I'm a self-taught acrylic painter who sells my artwork in Berkeley) 4. Read and teach art education, for instance, warm color, cold color, and color wheels. ( I self-taught to be a UX designer) 5. Teach Mandarin and Chinese songs. More artwork, welcome to visit my personal artwork showcase, designed by me.[removed] Also share I have a valid CA driver's licence and good records. Currently, I'm looking for a part-time job. Thanks for reading. I can't wait to talk to you in person. How about starting a video call soon? Have a nice day!

Yanli looked after our 5-month-old daughter many times while we were living in Berkeley, and we felt incredibly lucky to have found her. After trying a few different sitters, Yanli stood out immediately. I have never seen a sitter give such undivided attention, warmth, and respect to the interests and intelligence of a baby. I trusted her right away and felt that she cared deeply about our daughter’s wellbeing and development. After just a few visits, our baby would smile and get excited when Yanli arrived. Yanli spoke to our baby in Mandarin, taught her songs, spent lots of time with her in nature, played music, and read many books with her. We also learned so much from Yanli, including gentle ways to put Naomi down without fussing. She is thoughtful, attentive, and genuinely gifted with babies. We would wholeheartedly recommend her.

Hi! My name is Wendy. I’m a 24-year-old Oakland native (turning 25 this year) with over 5 years of childcare experience and a deep passion for supporting children and families. I am also a proud mom to a six-month-old baby, which has strengthened my patience, attentiveness, and understanding of how important trust and communication are when caring for someone’s child. I recently completed two years as an AmeriCorps Student Support Specialist at an OUSD elementary school, where I provided behavior support, social-emotional support, and math interventions for students ages 4–12. I worked closely with teachers, administrators, and school psychologists to help students feel supported and successful. Following that role, I worked at Lodestar High School supporting students with diverse and more intensive behavioral and academic needs. That experience strengthened my skills in behavior management, de-escalation strategies, structured routines, and individualized support. I bring many years of babysitting experience through UrbanSitter, caring for children ages 1–16, along with hands-on newborn experience through my extended family and now as a mother. I am fluent in English and Spanish and come from a large extended family, which has shaped my nurturing and adaptable personality. I am committed to creating a safe, structured, and loving environment where children can thrive. I prioritize clear communication with families about routines, meals, and expectations because I understand that every family has unique parenting styles and needs. In addition to childcare, I also have experience and offer house sitting and pet sitting services for cats and dogs. I also have a background in housekeeping, so maintaining a clean and organized home is always part of my care. In my free time, I enjoy hiking and rock climbing and staying active outdoors. I look forward to supporting your family and providing dependable, thoughtful care for your children and home.

Hello! I’m Carla but I prefer to be called by Carli. I considered myself as a reliable, caring, friendly and positive person who tries to make the best out of every situation. I’ve been taking care of newborns, infants, toddlers since I was 18 years old and I have experience on taking care of twins as well. In my free time I like to cook and bake, listening to music, go out with friends and family, reading, going hiking, etc. I really enjoy doing this activities with the kids too. The most important reason why I enjoy taking care of kids is that I love seeing how they develop and learn new things every day. Have a great day and thank you for taking time to get to know me a little bit better. I’m looking forward to hear from you. •I’m happy to work with families with pets. • I’m fully vaccinated. • Can provide references. • CPR certified Please contact me for more info.

Carli was fantastic. She was energetic, responsible, and always positive. Our two busy boys - toddler and baby - both fell in love with her right away. She created adventures for them and ensured they’re active and happy while staying safe. Both boys have food allergies, and Carli’s thoroughness made us feel safe. She made mealtimes fun and both boys ate well. Carli also patiently read book after book with our oldest until he finally wanted to nap. In short, Carli was everything you could ask for in a nanny and we hope that she’ll come work with our family again soon.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
