$25 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 66 families in Culver City, CA

Hello 👋🏾 My name is Kirah! My passion for kids started at a young age. Being the oldest of 8 also played a role within childcare because my siblings were my first taste of “babysitting” then of course came cousins, a friend of a friend and so on. My favorite thing about babysitting is being able to bond with the child and the parent is now at ease knowing their child is comfortable and cared for. My favorite thing to do is “adventure walks” simple as exploring their neighborhood during a walk. Fresh air and sight seeing can be fun! I have been working in childcare for almost 5 years professionally and hope to one day open my own daycare. I live in the Los Angeles area, with my own transportation. I am vaccinated as well as CPR + First aid certified. Please let me know if you need any assistance. I look forward to hearing from you.

Kirah is a delight! Her positive, upbeat energy was refreshing. My son loved playing with her and we will be booking her again for sure.

$35 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 17 families in Culver City, CA

Hi, I’m Mara. I’m 27 with over 10 years of paid childcare experience, working with children from newborn through teenage years. I’ve supported families in long-term, short-term, and overnight roles, and I’m confident handling everything from daily routines to more involved care needs. I also have experience working with children on the autism spectrum, ADHD, and other developmental needs, and I approach each child with patience, awareness, and adaptability. My personality is calm, grounded, and attentive. I naturally create a peaceful, structured environment where children feel safe, understood, and comfortable. I’m very intentional about how I show up present, observant, and responsive without being overwhelming. I have strong experience with infant and toddler care, school routines, transportation to activities, homework support, and meal prep. In many of my long-term roles, I’ve also supported the home during school hours or summer camp schedules, keeping things clean, organized, and running smoothly so families can come home to a well-maintained space. I’m comfortable with both childcare-related tasks and overall household upkeep. I value structure, communication, and mutual respect, and I do best with families who are looking for someone dependable, calm, and proactive. Someone they can trust to handle both childcare and household support without needing constant direction. I’m dependable, consistent, and respectful of each family’s routines and preferences. Families I’ve worked with value that they can trust me to step in seamlessly, stay calm in any situation, and handle responsibilities with care. I take what I do seriously and genuinely care about creating a positive, safe experience for both the child and the family.

Amazing, quick to respond and my daughter loved her. Will hire again

$28 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 23 families in Culver City, CA

Hello, my name is Marelin. I'm 28 years old. I am loving and caring with kids. I have taken care of children up until the age of 15. I am reliable, trustworthy and honest. Will do any tasks that are given, my rules are the same rules you have at your house. Pets are okay. I also have my own transportation. Please let me know so we can schedule an interview! I can provide references if needed. Thank you.

Marelin has been our daytime sitter since December 2025, and we're so sad to be losing her only because our family is moving out of LA in November 2026. She's been wonderful. She's reliable, flexible with hours, and always willing to work around our schedule. She’s smart and a quick learner. She picks up house rules and instructions right away. We always feel completely comfortable leaving her alone with our baby. She's endlessly patient during feedings, sings to our daughter, and always gets her down for naps quickly. She spends real time playing with and reading to our baby, who absolutely adores her. She's also happy to help with light housecleaning and errands. Highly recommend Marelin to any family looking for a trustworthy, loving caregiver

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
