I am a college student home for break in Berkeley. I have been working as a gymnastics coach for Cal since summer 2023 for ages 2-13. Throughout my high school experience, I participated in musical theater productions, danced broadway style jazz, and led at 3 board positions for a Jewish Youth Group. Hello! I’m a nurturing, compassionate caregiver with a lifetime of experience caring for children, adults, and seniors. I am mom of three wonderful adults, with a degree in nursing (BS from UVA) and experience as an art director. Over the years, I’ve cared for people of all ages, from babysitting to working in children’s rehabilitation and autism support. I’m CPR and First Aid certified and recently trained as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). I’ve also cared for seniors, recently supporting my own father through his dementia journey. With two cats and a lifelong love for animals, I’m equally at home with pets. Beyond caregiving, I enjoy ceramics, painting, and outdoor activities. I bring warmth, reliability, and a genuine love for people of all ages. I’d be honored to support your family—please reach out with any questions!

$27 per hour for 1 child

Hi there! My name is Life, and I’m currently a senior at UC Berkeley studying Legal Studies and African American Studies. I’m offering child care, tutoring, and household support services. I am new to Urban Sitter, I have been working primarily with one family over the past 3 years who are now moving away. I enjoy working with kids and have over seven years of experience in babysitting, nannying, tutoring, and outdoor education-youth programming. I’m comfortable supporting a range of ages as well as multiple kiddos at once. I love engaging kids through creative activities, reading, outdoor time, and helping with homework or routines. I aim to create a calm, safe, and affirming environment where your child feels supported, and you feel at ease. In addition to babysitting, I’m happy to help with light household tasks, including cooking, meal prep, tidying up, organization, and running errands. I follow a whole-food lifestyle myself, and can prepare nutritious meals if needed. I’m responsible, communicative, and dependable, with strong time-management. I love dogs, and am happy to provide pet care as well. I am also a licensed driver. A little bit more about me, I am a hobby person. I love sewing, making herbal tea blends, reading, hiking, hanging out with my sister, watching sci-fi movies, and cooking. I look forward to connecting with families who value trust and reliability, and fun in their caregivers! :)

Life has been our babysitter for the past three years, caring for our three children (now ages 10, 7, and 3), and we truly could not have asked for a better caregiver. We initially hired her through the Bambino babysitting app, and we agreed to grow together as a long-term position. I was hesitant to trust any babysitter with my 3-month-old at the time, but Life reassured me constantly through consistent, reliable, and fully present support for our family. Life regularly helped tutor our older children with schoolwork, prepared meals, and assisted with my own errands, which made an enormous difference in keeping our household running smoothly. Life actively engaged with our kids, leaning into each child’s individual interests, with focused attention and encouragement. Life balances her school commitments and professionalism exceptionally well. She respects family boundaries, communicates clearly, and maintains strong professional expectations while still creating a playful atmosphere. Her positive spirit helped bring my shy 10-year-old out of his shell. My children adore her and have grown in their confidence since she started working with us. We are only parting ways because our family is moving, and we will truly miss having Life as part of our routine. Any family would be lucky to have her.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
