Most recently provided full time care for 2 girls ages 2 and 4. Spent summer of 2019 with 2 boys ages 2 and 4. Full time work caring for a baby girl from 4 months to 2.5 years with the addition of her baby brother when she was 18 months old. 2 summers (2[removed]) caring for a 6 month (and then 18 month) little boy. Part time work for two boys ages 1 year and 4 years. A year of volunteering for a preschool caring for 5+ kids at a time, sometimes on my own. Can provide excellent references. Great with children and an excellent communicator with parents.

Hi! My name is Anele and I am in graduate school. I am offering childcare, senior care and household services including pet care I love working with kids and have worked with kids of all ages including ones with special needs. I have many nieces/ nephews and my little sister whom I have taken care of during her infancy. Formally, I was a full-time live-in nanny/au pair for two years watching toddlers: 3 and 5 years old and a 16 year old teen. We had two dogs which I cared for so I am comfortable with pet dogs and cats. I then spent 5 months caring for a 3 years old, often overnights. My duties have included preparing meals, dressing, bathing, bedtime, laundry, assisting with homework, school pick ups/drop offs, afterschool activities, household chores and engaging play, crafts, and outings including the park. I was also a camp counselor and educator for 8 years in total so I am very comfortable around children. I am trained in First Aid /CPR (currently working on recertification) and water safety, and have completed a course in early childhood development. I also work well with seniors having looked after my ill grandparents at various points of their lives. I am able to provide senior care and household services care by preparing healthy meals, laundry and housework chores, grocery shopping, organizing, cleaning up shared spaces, assisting with errands, appointments and social outings, etc. I look forward to meeting your lovely family and working with you!

We hired Anele for a 2 hours for the first time. Anele arrived on time with a smile on her face and started attending to my son right away, engaging in his interests , making sure he felt comfortable enough before us parents left the house. When we returned our son was disapointed that Anele had to go home. We will hire Anele again.

CURRENTLY OUT OF TOWN Hello! My name is Katya and I have been taking care of kids for over 10 years. I am comfortable caring for babies and children 6 months and older. I have completed 3 Early Childhood Education courses at Merritt College: 1.) Childhood Development 2.) The Child, the Family and the Community 3.) Infant and Toddler Care With children I enjoy neighborhood park excursions, reading, drawing 🎨ballet dancing 🩰and playing in gardens with sticks bugs and leaves 🌿🐞🪵🍃. I am dedicated to empowering children to identify and express their emotions and to be curious about the world around them. I would describe myself as calm, introverted and low-key. However, I am very comfortable setting boundaries with children when needed and using firm but positive reminders about house rules and playing/sharing gently with siblings ☺️ I have a Masters degree from San Francisco State University in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. I am a Bay Area native and prefer getting bookings in San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley or Albany :) While I do live in Oakland, I am a pro at getting quickly by public transit to SF 🚂🚍👍 and always give myself plenty of time.

Hello, I am a well seasoned nanny, with decades of childcare experience. I love children and delight in bringing ease and joy to family life. As a practicing Buddhist, the cultivation of kindness, compassion, composure, and the joy that arises in concert with these qualities, are integral to my well being and the care that I provide. As a young mother of two, I set aside a career path as a mechanical engineering professor in the field of mathematical fluid dynamics, and went on to homeschool my own four children, through Hearthstone Charter School, the Butte County home education program for which I was a founding board member, teaching countless other students and babysitting their younger siblings along the way. I have a researched understanding of child development and a variety of early childhood educational and parenting modalities. I truly enjoy being loving support to parents’ own philosophies. Well versed in RIE and Attachment Theory, specifically the emotional co-regulation that is foundational to Secure Attachment, I am inclined toward those aspects of Montessori and Waldorf education that foster authentic exploration and self mastery, and find respectful, holistic approaches to the care and education of children to be a natural extension of my Buddhist practice. I am particularly experienced with infants and toddlers, as well as gifted children of all ages, including those on the autism spectrum. I have found that a whole-child approach is essential to the care of children presenting with early signs of an IQ in the exceptionally (160-180) or profoundly (180+) gifted range. (I am happy to have a conversation on the topic of gifted children.) Here’s what the mom wrote on Berkeley Parent’s Network: "She has been taking care of our children for the last 4 years. She is truly incredible in a Mary Poppins-esque sort of way; very fit, from the Bay Area, raised 4 children herself, homeschooled them, phd in engineering, and chose childcare as a career later in life because she loves children. She has a warm personality and is amazing with the kids; creative, kind, receptive, respectful. She is also very smart and resourceful and can manage everything by herself, so if you want excellent childcare for your kids and not worry about anything, she is your gal." If you feel we may be compatible, let’s talk about your family’s needs and how I can help. All Good wishes, Mariah

So sweet and very reliable!

I have been a nanny for 4 years and a caregiver for the last 2 years. I am CPR certified and able to handle allergies, asthma, and diabetes. I can provide a fun safe (educational) environment for your kid(s)!

Sierra immediately connected with our 2.5 year old, and was engaged and caring with him and our 6 month baby. Warm, kind and responsible. I’d highly recommend her!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
