I have had a passion for taking care of children since my family adopted my four nieces and nephews (ages 2-12) when I was a freshman in high school. During my four years in high school, I spent a few hours per week being responsible for their care without parental oversight. I have also taken care of them for 2-week periods while my parents were out of town six times since high school. As such, I know how to take care of multiple children at once while also managing household tasks. I recently worked at Behavioral Health 360 in the role of behavior interventionist, providing one-on-one ABA therapy for children with autism. This role taught me how to handle various kinds of problem behaviors in a calm, effective and science-backed manner. I also learned how to have endless patience and empathy for any child. Additionally, my sister recently had a baby, and I have been nannying for her for the past year. I feel comfortable with children of any age. I am also happy to take care of pets in addition to children; I have had cats and dogs since I was a child and have frequently pet sat for family friends. I also have a pet snake named Penelope, so I am comfortable with reptiles. Finally, I am a Davis native but have a bachelor's degree from UC Santa Barbara after double majoring in Sociology and Philosophy.
