I am a part-time Paraprofessional II with the South San Francisco Unified School District, currently working at Junipero Serra Elementary School. I have over four years of experience supporting children in both school and home settings, including those with Autism and other developmental disabilities. In my current role, I provide individualized and group instruction based on IEPs, assist with academics, implement behavior support plans, and help with daily routines such as feeding, hygiene, and mobility support. In addition to my school experience, I worked for over two years with a teenager with cerebral palsy. During this time, I assisted with safe transfers using a wheelchair and ceiling lift, supported feeding (including feeding tube assistance), administered medications, and maintained hygiene and comfort. I also focused on emotional well-being by engaging him in activities like music and reading, and used communication tools to better understand and respond to his needs. I also have experience in senior care, supporting a client with dementia and diabetes with daily routines, medication and insulin administration, meal preparation, and companionship.
