Susie $40 per hour for 1 child

Hi, there! I am an authentically enthusiastic, welcoming, & dedicated experiential education professional, skilled in making joyful and meaningful connections with others, particularly children & youth. I have over 20 years experience working with children and youth in outdoor education, 3.5 years experience as a private nanny (ages 1-4), and 13 years experience as a mom (successfully raising 2 children since birth). :-) I have a B.A. and M.S. in Recreation (with a focus on youth programming), I have an active Wilderness First Responder certification (advanced medical training), and I drive groups of students regularly for outdoor excursions. I am equally passionate about outdoor education and early childhood development, so nature play/exploration is an integral part of my nanny care! Outdoor education focuses on learning through experience, saying “yes” to try, and being curious about the world around us. I am creative, dedicated, easy-going, and a self-starter yet love working as a team. In addition to outdoor exploration, I integrate songs, art, baking, and field trips (e.g., zoos) into my work with children, and I bring a global perspective of having visited 17 countries. I would love to explore this opportunity to work with you and your precious little one(s)!

My name is Raine, I'm 19, and I'm based in Emeryville/Oakland! I'm a high school graduate as of 2024, and currently work at a Nature Pre-school. I do not drive or have access to a car, but I can travel quite proficiently by foot, bike, and public transportation. I am available Monday-Friday, and occasional weekends. Please message me before booking to make sure we are a good fit! Some more about me: I previously have 4-5 years of experience working with kids at a Scandinavian Language School, in which I worked with kids from 2 years old to 11 years old. I additionally have experience and training with working with neurodivergent/autistic kids, and I'm more than happy to work with families who may have more complex needs. I also have many years of experience in babysitting, as well as pet-sitting and house-sitting! I am born and raised in the Bay Area, and I've been living in Oakland since the start of 2025. I'm a very creative person and love making art, and enjoy very hands-on activities. I'm both the oldest sibling and one of the oldest cousins in a relatively big family, and have found that I'm very good with kids. I genuinely enjoy working with and spending time with kids a lot, and I feel it’s a very rewarding and fun job! Thank you for considering me :)

Raine was wonderful! She was available to help last-minute, and my daughter connected with her very quickly and easily. She helped make her food , engaged her throughout the booking, and was professional and prompt with communication with me. Will definitely hire her and recommend her wholeheartedly. Thank you!

$25 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 4 families in Moraga, CA

Hi! I’m a paraprofessional at Stonebrae elementary school and a nursing student with a strong passion for working with children. I support students with learning and behavior both in and out of the classroom, and I also have experience as an RBT providing in-home behavioral support. This has given me the skills to work with children of different needs, personalities, and routines. I’ve been caring for kids since I was 9 years old, starting with my niece and continuing with children in my family and neighborhood. I also have 5 years of paid experience as a nanny outside of this app, and I truly enjoy building meaningful, trusting relationships with the families I work with. I’m CPR and First Aid certified, patient, reliable, and comfortable in fast-paced environments. I love creating a safe, fun, and nurturing space where kids can learn, grow, and be themselves. Working with children is something that genuinely makes me happy, and I’d love the opportunity to support your family!

Dior 3 reviews
$25 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Dior, and I’m currently a high school senior graduating on June 3rd. Since October, I’ve been working as an Assistant Kindergarten Teacher through an internship where I’ve gained hands-on experience working with children in both small groups and full classroom settings. My responsibilities have included leading classroom activities, helping plan lessons, grading, organizing and creating classroom decorations, and attending field trips with the classes. I have a letter of recommendation I can provide if needed from the teacher I work alongside. Through my ROP Developmental Psychology of Children course, I will also graduate with 6 college credits in Child Development. In addition to my elementary teaching experience, I have experienced babysitting throughout the years, which helped me become patient, responsible, and comfortable caring for children of different ages. I also have experience working with animals through volunteering at the East Bay SPCA caring for dogs and cats. Along with this, I have two years of experience working in the food industry, which strengthened my communication skills, responsibility, and ability to work in fast-paced environments. I’m dependable, caring, organized, and passionate about creating a safe and positive environment for children.

I am happy to recommend Dior Cooper for any babysitting or childcare position. Dior has worked in my kindergarten classroom during the 2024–2025 school year and has been an incredible asset to our classroom community. Dior confidently helps manage and teach a class of 24 kindergarten students, supports small groups academically, and skillfully redirects behaviors with patience and care. She is especially thoughtful in supporting students socially and emotionally, comforting children when they are upset and helping them work through conflicts with kindness and maturity. Dior has joined us on several field trips, where she safely supervised groups of young students and demonstrated excellent responsibility and judgment. She is reliable, highly communicative, kind, and wonderful with children. I would confidently recommend Dior for any babysitting or childcare position and trust her to provide safe, caring, and engaging support for children.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
