Dear family : Thanks for taking the time to read my profile. I'm Jenny (Yanli), a college student at UC Berkeley currently. It's the 10-year babysitting experience that taught me self-parenting and to stay curious about everything. It's fun to explore new things and keep learning. From this mindset, my journey started at Berkeley Adult School for basic English in 2016 as an au pair, and then Berkeley City College for psychology& cognitive science from 2[removed](part-time), and now at UC Berkeley for Philosophy of Mind (2024-2026). While I'm in school, it's the love from the kids and parents that inspires me to move forward and keep learning. Now, I come back to play with kids since I miss the nature of kids and have extra time in my last semester in 2026 spring. Having taught kids art, acrylic painting, and DIY paper craft through this 10-year journey, I'm eager to keep exploring the creativity kids naturally have. I used to be an au Pair in 2016-2017 after I got training in New Jersey for one week about babysitting, as well as a CPR certificate and a first aid certificate from the American Red Cross. Regarding personality and lifestyle, I'm a big fan of yoga, love art so much. I'd love to go to nature with kids, do yoga together, and visit museums. Happy to share what I'd like to do with kids: 1. It's my great pleasure to teach yoga to kids if kids are interested in it. ( I'm a certified 200-hour yoga instructor from Yoga Alliance) 2. Paper craft, including origami paper craft and DIY holiday cards. 3. Acrylic painting with kids. ( I'm a self-taught acrylic painter who sells my artwork in Berkeley) 4. Read and teach art education, for instance, warm color, cold color, and color wheels. ( I self-taught to be a UX designer) 5. Teach Mandarin and Chinese songs. I’m a recent graduate with a B.A. in Sociology from UCLA. I have experience with children ages ranging from 4 months to 13 years old. I absolutely adore kids and have worked with them all my life. I’m also a huge animal person. I grew up in Marin, where I went to Tam High, and just moved back to live in SF! My experience includes being a teacher at Stapleton Ballet Fantasy Summer Camp while I danced at the company before college, and during college, I worked at the UCLA Lab School as a teaching assistant for grades Pre-K thru 5th. So, I am definitely available to help with homework! I have babysat since I was 12 years old, and truly love doing it. I recently started a job as a teacher at the Town School for Boys within the Extended Day Program. I hope to pursue obtaining my credentials and continue my career in education.

Hi Parents, I’m Sofia! I’m offering childcare, pet sitting, light household chores, etc. I am bilingual in English and Tagalog but also speak some Spanish. One thing about me is that I’ve always loved playing and being around kids since I was a teen. I’ve learned a lot about being patient with them, and I think that’s one of the most important things as a nanny. My experience in babysitting has included working with ages newborn-10 years! I am currently working with 17 month old twins and love it! I met them when they were 2 months old so I have lots of experience with babies! I’ve been babysitting for almost 6 years now. I’ve worked both full time and part time with a few families all ranging from 1-4 kids at a time. I am also willing to work occasional date nights, or if you just simply need someone to cover for a day. My responsibilities have included driving to/from school and after school sports/activities, light home schooling, crafts, keeping kids active (walks, hikes, adventures.) changing diapers, feeding lunch and snacks, meal prepping and just making sure they are good throughout the day. I have worked with families outside of UrbanSitter but have also met some amazing families from this community. I understand that working with kids requires a lot of patience and I believe I have abundance of it. The parents I have worked with would say I work well under pressure and really good at staying calm when things get chaotic. I truly love being around kids! At family gatherings, you’ll always find me playing with the kids and keeping them entertained. I am also more than willing to help tackle any household chores, grocery shopping, and errands you may not have had time for. I will always find something to do (when kids are napping, or not around). I’d love to make things easier for your family and help in anyway I can! I’m easy going, and very understanding. I will absolutely treat and love your kids like they are my own because I know it’s tough to trust a stranger - I will be nothing but a great help and addition to your family. :) Another bonus is I don’t mind being around dogs and cats, I love fur babies as well, and would be willing so pet sit for you.
