Hi, I'm Julia. Im a 39 year old woman who has been working with children for most of my life, and with seniors in recent years. I worked as a full-time classroom teacher with children of all ages for 10 years and managed a tutoring center and summer school. I love learning with kids whether its out of a book or playing outside. Recently I have been caring for an elderly couple, assisting them with all varieties of personal and practical needs as well as helping with the extended family including infant and toddler care. Patience and kindness are very important to me as well as having fun. I can cook (I used to be a chef as well) and do household chores and gardening. I have a CA drivers license and a spotless driving record, but no car at the moment. I love cats and dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I frequently house/pet sit for friends when they go out of town. I'm responsible and take caring for others very seriously while still having lots of fun. My skills and interests are very diverse. I've done everything from teaching advanced math, to professional writing and working as a professional artist, directing a jazz band, and working as a park ranger. Hello! I am an energetic, nurturing and dedicated sitter/nanny who loves working with kids in both academic and recreational settings. I have ample babysitting experience: I have cared for children as young as 6 months, children on the autism spectrum, and have tutored children from elementary school through middle school. I graduated from Elon University in 2022, where I majored in psychology with concentrations in childhood development and business.
