Hello everyone! My name is Olivia and I have been working with children of all ages since I was 11 years old. My brother was born at that time and I played a big part in caring for him, raising him, and teaching him essential life skills. I have worked as an assistant teacher at a STEM-based preschool for multiple years and still stay in contact with parents and children who graduated from the school. In my community, I am very well-known for babysitting young children and parents usually come to me first if they need care for their child. I am also the daughter of a preschool teacher, and she has taught me endless things about how to care for, support, encourage, and enlighten kids. This year I've also been a 1:1 Behavior Technician for a Kindergarten-age child with autism, staying with him in the gen-ed class and introducing him to the rhythm and routine of school; essentially preparing him for the rest of his educational journey. I was also a class-aide for the gen-ed Kindergartners, and I have experience working in many other classrooms including gen-ed and for Special Ed children on all different points of the spectrum.
