Hello! My name is Anna Parente, and I have over 6 years of experience caring for children of all ages, from newborns to school-age kids. I am a warm, reliable, and patient caregiver who loves helping children learn, grow, and feel safe. My experience includes newborn care, infant feeding, diaper changes, sleep routines, tummy time, developmental activities, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and school-age care. I am CPR and First Aid certified and have worked as both a nanny and overnight newborn caregiver. In addition, I am a Certified Postpartum Doula and Certified Newborn Care Specialist (NCS), which gives me specialized training in newborn care, feeding support, sleep routines, and supporting families during the postpartum period. I am based in Redwood City and serve families throughout the Bay Area. I look forward to connecting with your family and learning how I can help! 🩵

“We were looking for a caretaker for taking care of our 10 month old daughter for a month, before she started day care. Fortunately for us and our daughter, we ended up meeting Anna through urbansitter. Anna is extremely loving, sincere, hardworking and responsible. She quickly ramped up to our daughter's schedule, in a matter of 1-2 days. She was always on time, flexible when we needed her for a couple of extra hours during the end of the day. Within a matter of 1 week, she gained our complete trust. Her responsibilities included watching over our daughter, keeping her engaged, feeding her milk and solids, putting her for her day naps, laundry. Aside from these she would also proactively help us with some minor chores. She also keeps her environment very clean and organized. We also have a 2 year old dog who is extremely playful and loving. Anna was super friendly with our dog too. Overall, I would highly recommend her for families out there. The only reason we couldn't continue with her was because our daughter started day care.”

$32 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in San Francisco, CA

Hello families, I'm Luz Maria, though most know me as Lucy. I'm the youngest of five siblings, who enjoys spontaneous adventures, hiking, and spending time with loved ones. I value being open-minded, curious, and empathetic. I also strongly believe in self-care, recognizing that we can best care for others when we also take care of ourselves. I have over a decade of experience supporting infants and toddlers. My top priority is their safety. Beyond that, I strive to create an environment where children feel secure, valued, and encouraged to explore, learn, and grow. I believe in setting clear consistent boundaries and fostering curiosity through engaging activities. I take time to truly listen and understand each child's needs, emphasizing being present and intentional in every interaction. My goal as a nanny is to help children explore their world while supporting each family's values, routines, and parenting style. Please let me know your needs and how I can be a valuable addition to your family’s support system.

“Luz is a fantastic and loving nanny for my little boy for almost 17 months. I met Luz at the park and saw how incredible she was interacting with kids espicialy infants and toddlers, the reason why I hired her as my night sitter couple times a month. She is responsible, caring, honest, communicative and on-time throughout her employment with me. For anyone who is looking for a nanny, I would strongly recommend Luz she is an amazing nanny who will sincerely care for your children like they are family.”

Angelina Menlo Park
$30 per hour for 1 child

I truly enjoy spending time with children and creating a safe, caring, and fun environment where they can learn, play, and feel comfortable. Over the years I have gained experience working with kids of different ages. I worked for two years as a children’s activity animator in a tourist village with children ages 5–12. I also spent two years as an au pair in California, one year as an au pair in Belgium, and one year as a nanny in Austria. Currently I study psychology and child development, which helps me better understand children’s emotions and development. In the past few months I have also been babysitting part-time for several families. Through my experience as an au pair, I am comfortable cooking, helping with light housekeeping, organizing the home, and supporting families with daily routines. I can speak four languages fluently, and I also have some knowledge of Spanish. I can drive, i am responsible, patient, and attentive, and I value positive and supportive environment. Thank you!

Hi my name is Kathleen, I live in the Outer Richmond but I am from Marin originally, grew up with a big family — one older sister and two younger brothers. I have been babysitting since high school on and off. I am very familiar with the SF Bay Area, attended grammar school in Tiburon and high school at Saint Ignatius College Prep in the Outer Sunset in San Francisco.

“Kathleen did a fabulous job with our three year old daughter. She came in, connected and engaged with her for several hours and we came home to a happy child. Would recommend hiring Kathleen again.”

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
