My name is Hanna, and I am passionate about supporting children’s growth through creativity, nature, and caring relationships. I have spent the past several years working closely with young children in both professional and community settings, and these experiences have shaped my approach as an educator and caregiver.
I worked as a preschool teacher for two years, where I learned how meaningful early experiences are in shaping confidence, curiosity, and emotional development. I supported children’s learning through play, hands-on exploration, and consistent routines, and I loved creating activities that helped them express themselves and discover new interests. Alongside teaching, I have six years of babysitting experience, which has given me the opportunity to work with children of different ages, personalities, and needs. My caregiving style is gentle, patient, and flexible, and I always aim to build a trusting rapport with both children and families.
I am currently a junior at San José State University, majoring in Child and Adolescent Development, where my coursework deepens my understanding of developmental theory, learning environments, and family dynamics. My academic background helps me approach childcare with intention and awareness, ensuring that the activities and interactions I provide are developmentally thoughtful and responsive.
Outside the classroom, I love to be outdoors. I’m passionate about gardening and volunteer on weekends at the SJSU campus garden, where I help maintain the space and support community projects. Because nature plays such an important role in my life, I also prioritize it when working with kids. Whether we are gardening, exploring outdoors, or simply observing bugs and plants, I believe children thrive when they have opportunities to connect with the natural world.
I am CPR-certified, safety conscious, and attentive. At the same time, I bring a fun, creative, and energetic spirit to everything I do. I love planning art projects, outdoor play, sensory activities, and imaginative games that keep children engaged and excited. My goal is always to create an environment where kids feel safe, supported, and free to be themselves.
I look forward to continuing to grow in this field while bringing joy, curiosity, and care to every family I work with.
