Jessica $25 per hour for 1 child

My name is Jay! I have taught almost everything from break dancing to Montessori schools to paper mache, and would love to bring what I learned from all of these experiences to your kid! Previously, I have taught ASL & english, handbuilding and wheel-thrown ceramics, social justice lessons suited to all ages, watercolor, craft arts (because who doesn't love a good friendship bracelet‽), breakdancing & hip hop, STEM-based lessons, and I've developed nature-based curriculum while I worked with Deaf kids and other kids with disabilities. And during all of these roles, I tried to be whoever my students needed me, meeting them where they were, so I was also a therapist, a caregiver, an artist, a friend, a listener, a janitor, a manager, and thousands of other roles. Even though my background is mainly child & student-focused, this has only made me a fast adapter for whatever your needs may be! So if that includes walking your dog, feeding your cat, or doing a grocery run, I'm here for it all, and however you need it to get done!

$26 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 2 families in San Francisco, CA

Hi! My name is Anika and I am currently looking for child care, senior care, or household service work. I am 27 years old, and have a Biology and GIS degree from UCLA, and have been working on organic farms and agricultural nonprofits for the past 4 years. After graduating college I worked for about 6 months as a live-in nanny for a family in Walnut Creek, but my experience as a babysitter spans more than 10 years. I also have a 4-year-old nephew, and 1-year-old niece who are the loves of my life. I lived with my sister and her family for 3 months after my niece was born, taking care of both kids, cooking, cleaning, and caring for my sisters family. Helping families is very rewarding work for me. I am currently volunteering as a birth doula at a Hospital nearby and so am around babies and parents all the time! I have experience with newborns, infants, toddlers, and kids of up to 15 years old. As a household assistant I can cook, clean, and complete household errands as needed. I love to cook as I feel like organic farming and a love for cooking go hand in hand. I have been a caretaker for my own grandparents and am comfortable with senior care. I can cook, drive to appointments, or do other tasks. (I am also a great scrabble partner!) I can't wait to hear from you!

Anika was very communicative as we worked through the details of her first day with us. She had my son laughing during playtime and I appreciated how proactive she was to jump into our schedule. Looking forward to working with her again!

Lizbeth Yanela $25 per hour for 1 child

Hi families! My name is Lizbeth. I’m from Bolivia, and I came back to San Francisco to study. In my free time, I would like to work doing something I really enjoy, which is taking care of children. My experience as a babysitter in San Francisco started when I came here as an Au Pair for a nice American family. I took care of two sweet kids. I really like children of all ages and I enjoy spending time with them. I like playing with them, doing sports, going to the park, having playdates, doing crafts, making cookies, and preparing simple meals they like. Before coming to San Francisco, I also worked at a daycare where I took care of children of different ages, from babies to 6-year-old kids. I consider myself a patient, caring, and responsible person. I always try to make children feel safe, happy, and comfortable while they are with me.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
