My name is Maria Elena, but I go by Elena. I’m originally from El Salvador and have been living in the Bay Area for 33 years. I am a single mother to an almost 14-year-old boy. I have many years of experience working with children—over eight years as a nanny before my son was born and as part of a nanny share since he was six months old.
