Flor loves children very much and has been volunteering to take care of them since her own childhood. Growing up in Nicaragua made her a very family based woman and it created the intention to always take care of younger ones and bring them up well. Other than her two children, she raised her three granddaughters and would often take care of other family member's children. While she lived in Nicaragua, she was a teacher and taught many subjects, her favorites being history, math, geography and Spanish. Then she moved to the United States with her children, and attended Los Angeles City College to study nursing and would go on to work 35 years in the nursing industry before retiring.
