Hi families! I’m Jessica (but feel free to call me Jessa!) a CPR-certified, bilingual (English & Spanish) babysitter based in San Francisco with a background in bookkeeping. I’ve been caring for little ones since I was 16 — from infants to teens — and I’m known for being calm, dependable, and fun to be around. Whether it’s storytime, school pick-up, or helping with bedtime, I try to be as warm and structured to every home I work in. I’m also experienced with kids who have food allergies, asthma, or special routines, and I’m happy to help with light cleaning, and pet care too! I’d love to be a trusted support for your family — please feel free to message me if you think we’re a good fit:)

Spending time with kids comes naturally. Honestly, I learn so much about myself as an adult-But beyond that, kids remind me that it's the little things that matter, and I also get to see so many different types of personalities in babies!!!. It's certain moments that with them that completely take my mind off the stresses of school and my other job. I've been babysitting since I was 11 years old, I'm the oldest of over 60 kids in my huge Mexican family, so I've been babysitting for a LONG time! I started professionally babysitting when I turned 18, so I've gained experience working with different families. On the side I am a Behavior Technician. I have experience working with kids with autism starting at the age of 1. We work on communication and speech skills together in school and home settings while running programs targeted for their needs! I'm majoring in Criminal Justice and I'm working towards a career where I can help young women/minors who are going through trauma and legal issues. My dream is to make a difference in their lives in a hands-on way, and as someone who can guide and empower them to create positive change. I believe my experiences as a sitter, and my deep empathy for kids, will play a big part in that future.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
