Hi, I’m Vanessa. I’m 26 years old, and I’m from Brazil. I’ll tell you a little bit about my experience. I started working at a mall, selling children’s clothes and helping parents try outfits on their kids. At that moment, I realized how much I love children, so I knew I needed to do something related to that. I started volunteering at a preschool, where I spent time with the kids. They had cooking classes and played games, and it was an amazing experience. However, I left to work for a family with a 3-year-old boy. I used to take care of him—playing, feeding him, giving him baths, and sometimes putting him to bed so his parents could have a date night. I also helped them with potty training. I stayed with this family for a year and a half, and we still keep in touch. Later, I worked for another family with two children—a girl (11) and a boy (8). We used to play, watch movies, give them fruit or dinner, and help them get ready for bed. I am someone who enjoys reading books with children, playing outdoors, exploring, and discovering new things. I am also very patient and respectful with kids. For pet parents, I am an animal lover! I grew up with dogs, so they are a big part of my life. I personally have five dogs in my home country. I also take care of a family’s pet, visiting their house to play with the animal, take it for walks, give it treats, water, and food, and spend quality time with it before leaving.

Vanessa was great with our 2.5yo daughter. Would love to hire her again!

Kayla 2 reviews
$32 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Kayla, and I’m a proud mother of two girls. I’m born and raised in Marin County. As a Mexican and Guatemalan American, I value creating a caring, respectful, and family-oriented environment for children. Childcare has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my mom worked as a nanny and often brought me along, giving me firsthand experience in the nanny and childcare setting from a young age. Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience caring for children ranging from 6 months to 4 years old. I love spending quality time with kids by reading books, going on walks, visiting the park, and encouraging fun, age-appropriate activities that help them learn and grow. I’ve also assisted with transporting children to and from activities such as story time, music classes, gymnastics, and appointments. In addition to childcare, I have experience providing care for individuals with disabilities, which has strengthened my patience, compassion, and ability to adapt to different needs. I’m also happy to help with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and keeping your home organized while ensuring your children are safe, happy, and well cared for.

Kayla was a wonderful babysitter and nanny to our son, and we’d highly recommend her. He genuinely loved spending time with her. She’s come to care for him many times, and she’s extremely patient and great with our 20-month-old. What stood out most was how she handled a day when he wasn’t feeling well. She comforted him, sang to him, and took really attentive, loving care of him throughout. That kind of patience and warmth is exactly what you hope for in someone watching your child. We’d happily have her back anytime.

Hi! I am currently a student at SRJC, working on getting my associates in child development. My babysitting journey began when I was 15, and I've been caring for my younger sister since she was born. She's now 11, and I still spend a lot of my free time with her. -I have my CNA certificate, and am CPR & BSL certified. - If needed, I am willing to provide references. I have experience with children of all ages, from babies and toddlers to older kids. Some of my responsibilities have included: -Driving children to/from the park or sports practices -Engaging in crafts and playing games with the children -Homework Help -Dog sitting -Organizing What I love most about babysitting is the connections I build with the kids and their families. & the fact that I get to meet their pets, I love cats & dogs! I have been fortunate to work with amazing clients, and these relationships have been incredibly rewarding. I look forward to meeting and working with your family!

We love Cass! She took care of our two boys (5 and 1.5) all summer, and she is now our go-to nanny. She’s so easy to work with, very open to feedback/collaboration, a great communicator, and loves our boys, which is the best! I also really appreciate the way she helps to clean up after the kids and isn’t shy about getting out the vacuum!

Booked by 5 families in Woodacre, CA

Hi my name is Victoria and I’m a recent graduate from San Diego State. I grew up going with my mom watching over the kids she took care of and have since have babysat (including dog sitting & house sitting) on my own over the years. After I graduated high school, I watched over one of my teachers kids and have been a counselor and director at an after school program in Terra Linda (2[removed]) where we would come up with crafts and play lots of games! I also still maintain a relationship and caregiving to a family I’ve met through the after school program and have seen their kids grow up over the last four years. I’m bilingual (Spanish) and CPR certified and I worked primarily with toddlers and children.

Victoria was fantastic! Great energy and the kids really liked her.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
