During my college years, I worked with kids in various environments: group homes, foster families, and as a personal nanny for 3 different families. After I graduated with my degree in journalism and mass communications, I realized what truly fuels me is getting to help children bloom! For the last 3 years, I have worked with kids age 4-18+ as a visual arts instructor. This has allowed me to connect with the intersections of my own identity. I’ve taught art to non-profits that work with Queer kids, kids with cancer, and kids within the Des Moines Public School system. I currently teach summer camps at the Arvada Center on: Drawing, Eco-Art, Sculpture, and Painting.
