Hello! I’m a childhood educator and nanny of 15 years. My backgrounds include early childhood education and developmental psychology. I encourage play centric environments. Some of my favorites are sensory play, crafting, STEM experiments, cooking with others, or an outdoor adventure for the day. I am comfortable aiding in potty training, developmental milestones, baby lead weaning, food sensitivities, and speech progression. I believe in creative curiosity as the foundation of interaction. I have ample experience from infancy to teens, with up to date CPR and first aid certifications. I also work in special needs communities. My work is focused in attachment style theory, positive reinforcement, and play based interaction. Other interests include milestone development from birth, and Montessori/Waldorf school programming with school aged kiddos. I enjoy herbalism, nature based play, climbing, and the great outdoors. My other certifications include infant mobility work, swim coaching, and youth exercise programming. I am a trauma informed provider with tons of experience in autistic, diabetic, and foster care communities. I aim to bring a sense of curiosity, acceptance and kindness to every interaction. Feel free to reach out for more info! :)

Emilianna is fantastic. My kids think she’s hilarious. She makes special projects and they really enjoy their time with her. I would recommend for families wanting a more hands on caregiver. The thought and detail she puts into things for the kids really is the best.

You can usually find me watching a documentary, checking out a brewery or new restaurant, attending a concert, traveling, doing something outside, playing volleyball, or with my friends & family. My child care experience is extensive; whether in childcare for 10 years professionally (40-125 hours a week), or babysitting for five years prior, or a seasoned coach, I have done just about everything that comes with kids (except have any of my own, yet!). I am well versed with night nannying (I’ve had 12 sets of twins & 17 singles), newborn care (in addition to night nannying newborns, I’ve cared for hundreds of infants in various other settings), household management; ie; meal prepping, shopping, tidying, implementing organizational systems & much more (ask my clients how they feel about this 😉), overnights, (in 2025 alone, I had 27 gigs ranging from 1-8 days long), multiples (day & night nanny to 9 different sets of twins), nanny shares, baby led weaning, developmental milestones, pickup/drop off/transporting children, care during events (weddings, conferences), traveling with family (domestic & international), online learning (survived the whole COVID fiasco with 4 kindergarteners), epilepsy, medications, children with speech & motor delays, ADHD, & feeding tubes (G-tubes, NG-tubes, aversions, aspiration). I was also the volleyball program director at a JEFFCO charter school, & head volleyball coach to two middle school teams & two high school teams, consisting of 50+ kids for five seasons, bringing in two championships & three second places. It all brings SUCH joy to my life & I’m super proud to be in this line of work! I take enormous pride in the fact that I have built long lasting relationships with the families I have sat for through my personality, reliability, & passion to care for children. I am beyond communicative, confident & calm in any situation that may arise & my top priority is creating a positive & safe environment for children & leaving a family’s home tidied & peaceful for parents. Policies: 🌸5 hour minimum payment between Friday & Sunday (available to come for shorter hours, but minimum payment of 5 hours is required). 🌸Parents who reduce the original booked hours, arrive early, send sitter home at their discretion, or cancel within one week regardless of circumstance (includes but not limited to: illness, hospitalization, accidents, vacation, change in needs, etc) will be expected to pay for the entire booked price.

We loved Delainie! Extremely professional but warm and kind. We hired her for a date night while we were visiting Denver. We wish she lived in NY so we could hire her all the time!

Feel free to call me Jo. I enjoy staying active just as much as laying down to read (I adore the children's book RAVEN). I love getting to play and be silly with kiddos; it gives me time to explore my imagination and decompress. It's amazing what doing things out of the usual day-to-day can do for a person! I love when families catch me up on routines and rules that may be specific to their dynamic. I work to stay consistent with your habits and to respect any cultural, social, or religious preferences. I am comfortable providing care in traditional, non-traditional, unique, and complex family settings; I also have experience house-sitting, pet-sitting, and tutoring. I am allergic to most dogs and cats, but it's not serious! With at least an hour's notice, I can take my meds to prevent sneezing and itchy eyes. I know the importance of creating and holding boundaries and limits, but discipline is always the tough part of bookings for me. Please inform me of your preferred method of discipline (time-outs, chores, loss of privileges, etc.) to ensure that your little one(s) feels safe and respected at all times. I update my calendar weekly and it takes into account my full-time job, existing obligations, and taking time to care for myself. I do not have a cancellation fee for cancellations more than 24 hours from the booking start. However, most same-day cancellations and early returns will be charged for the full booking time. I maintain a 4 hour minimum for bookings with limited exceptions. I am fully vaccinated! Note that I cannot provide care for families where a cough, runny nose, fever, or nausea/vomiting is present. The UrbanSitter community has always been respectful of my health and wellness and I'll keep your family's health as a top priority, too. Unfortunately, due to recent events, if I arrive at a booking and a child is coughing, has a runny nose, is running a fever, or is nauseated/vomiting, I will not continue the booking and cannot accept a discount or offer a refund; parents will be charged for the full booking time. If you have questions about my experience (or me!) or would like to speak to me, please feel free to send me an interview request!

She was awesome and took to my sons personality right away!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
