Hello! (Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 as of 2/2/21) I love working with kids, and have professionally worked with children from toddler age to teens for over 8 years now! I have 5 years experience at a summer day camp back in my home town of Minneapolis, teaching classes from art to gymnastics for children ages 3-11. In addition, I worked with a program called JumpStart at DePaul University, where me and 4 other college students were placed in a preschool classroom on the west side of Chicago to provide teaching assistant support. During JumpStart I learned a lot of early childhood education skills and techniques, and could assist with homework or literacy skills for your children when I care for them. I enjoy reading, painting, staying active, dance, and exploring Chicago. I also have nannied for a family from this site from June 2017 until June 2019. I have babysat since I was 11 years old watching the neighborhood kids, and would love to help out by being a babysitter for you. :)

Drew came on time and very approachable and fun. Quickly got along with my child. Hopefully will see her soon.

Hi! I'm Fariani—but most parents end up calling me Mary Poppins. 😊 Caring for children is more than a job to me—it's my passion. I'm a warm, reliable, and patient nanny with experience caring for children from newborns to teenagers, including 4 years working with a child with special needs with feeding tube. I also speak several languages French is my native language. I love creating fun, engaging, and educational days through reading, arts & crafts, parks, museums, board games, homework help, and teaching French. My priority is to provide a safe, loving environment where children feel happy, supported, and encouraged to learn and grow. I'm also happy to prepare healthy meals, help with light housekeeping, and maintain open, honest communication with parents. I'm looking for a family that values kindness, trust, and teamwork. Hi! I’m a graduate student located in Chicago with over 10 years of childcare experience and an educational background in public health and psychology. I have held several nannying positions as well as being a regular date night sitter or anything inbetween. I am comfortable with children of all ages, particularly infants and toddlers, but I enjoy working with older children as well. I have some experience with children with physical and developmental disabilities that can be discussed further. For multiple years in college I was an ACT tutor and test prep tutor and worked with kids 10+ yrs old 1-on-1. I also used a childcare app “Wyndy”, where I babysat for at least 30 different families through out the years and have several pre-made reviews I can show you. I am the oldest of 7 as well so besides having professional experience with children, I really love just working with kids, having fun with them & supporting their development. As a caregiver I would describe myself as warm, open-minded, and encouraging of children’s’ curiosity. I love going outdoors with kids on walks, to museums, etc, but also know how to entertain at home. I pride myself on making sure kids feel as understood and respected as possible and am open to matching parenting styles. I’m comfortable with many different childcare situations and am open to discuss opportunities. I have a vehicle, am up to date on vaccinations, and no pet allergies. Let me know if you have any other questions! **AVAILABILITY: For Spring 2026, I am regularly unavailable on M and W afternoons due to my classes

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
