Hello I'm Maria! I am a dedicated and detail-oriented nanny with over 9 years of experience, starting in 2016. My passion for providing a safe, fun, and educational environment for children has been a key driver in my work. I pride myself on creating enriching experiences that promote learning while ensuring that kids are having fun. I am highly organized, follow schedules closely, and work to provide parents with peace of mind, knowing their children are in good hands. As a COVID-19-conscious professional, I have all my vaccines up to date and take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of the children in my care. I find working with kids fulfilling because there are so many things to learn and explore with them every day. I love being able to inspire their curiosity and excitement in small and big ways throughout their day. My experience is very diverse as I have worked with newborns, infants, toddlers and older aged kids, as well with multiples(twins) and multiple siblings. I'm also available on weekday evenings should you ever need help then. I am comfortable working around pets as well. I am bilingual in Spanish as well. In addition to child care, I'm able to help with preparing meals, light housekeeping, and laundry. I hope to hear from you soon and look forward to getting to know you and your family more. Thank you!

Kids had a fantastic time! 10/10!

Hi there! I am Blanca and I have had a passion for school and education ever since I was in kindergarten! I recently reconnected with some family after 17 years and turns out I have nieces and nephews, so I decided to take a break from teaching to travel often and spend time with them. While I am enjoying living life as a lady of leisure when back in town, I do miss working with younger children, so I am looking for occasional/one-time babysitting jobs where I can help out parents and have fun-filled days with children. I am a graduate of Dominican University, where I studied elementary, ESL, bilingual education, and translation & interpretation. I have experience working as a high school and elementary teacher, K-12 substitute teacher, teacher’s assistant, daycare center lead teacher, and camp teacher; as well as babysitting from months-old babies to teenagers. I am very patient, caring and attentive. I began my paid experience babysitting for my former teachers and employers, who then referred me to their friends and they to theirs, and so on, so I’ve become an occasional sitter for several families while I’m not teaching, but this year I am looking for occasional jobs to make better use of my time until the next school year starts. I love anything puzzle-related; I’m a pro at hide-and-seek, and can do arts and crafts out of anything! My music taste range is insane! I also haven’t owned a tv in over 8 years, so I never resort to screen time… unless your child turns it on and I can’t figure out how to turn it off for a few minutes. In my spare time, I enjoy nature, music, brain teasers, origami, and cleaning, to name a few things. Fun fact: I can drive and ride a motorcycle, but I have yet to learn to ride a regular bike!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
