Hey there ! My name is Mariah 😁
My experience includes:
- Previously providing child care for families with kids aged 0-12 years old on weekdays at church (2[removed]). I was responsible for looking after the children while their parents attended their social groups. With older kids, we would play games, color, talk, and watch fun movies. With the babies, i would play & read books to them. Also, change diapers, feed and put them to sleep.
- I also provided child care for families with kids aged 1 to 8 years old on weekends, during church services and church events. We watched movies, play games (indoor & outdoor) and learn about the Bible.
- I’m 2016 & 2017 I served as a counselor in training for day & residential campers at Camp Wabanna Conference Center. I co-led groups of kindergarten and 8 to 11-year-old children. I led Bible studies, helped lead trust building exercises, kayaking, rock climbing, zip lining, fishing, and more.
- Also, I was a day camp counselor for Coast Guard Youth Summer Camp from 2014 to 2018. I co-led a group of 10-14 kids aged 5-13 years old throughout the day. I led the kids through fun activities such as kick ball, swimming, scavenger hunts. We also did many tours of boats, participated in science & zoo shows and learned about the history of the Coast Guard throughout the Yard.
- In 2021 I was a full time nanny for twins (8). Throughout the day I would help them with online school, homework, meals and fun activities.
I have been a Substitute for a daycare provider, working with small children ages 2-4. We go through a full schedule involving indoor and outdoor playtime, reading time, meals, nap time, and other small activities.
Currently, I work as a full-time nanny for a family, providing care for a 2-year-old and a 6-year-old. My responsibilities include preparing meals, engaging the 2-year-old in learning activities, and driving the 5-year-old to school and activities. I maintain a patient and kind demeanor when dealing with children and have a strong understanding of their social, emotional, and developmental needs.
Children have always had a special place in my heart. Their little smiles and laughs mean the world and I love to be a part of watching little ones learn and grow.
I welcome you to reach out to discuss or ask any questions.
Warm regards,
Mariah
