Hi!
My name is Nydia and I'm a graduated Senior looking for full or part-time nannying!
I'm a caring, energetic, and creative person who genuinely loves working with kids. Growing up with six siblings taught me a lot about responsibility, patience, and being someone younger kids can look up to. As one of the older siblings of 7, I helped raised and care for three of them, which gave me experience with children long before I started working in childcare professionally.
For the past two years, I've worked as a Child Care Assistant (CCA) with Adventures Plus (A+) in the Anoka Hennepin School District. I've worked with children ages 5-12, from kindergarten through sixth grade, in both the school year and summer programs. My experience has taught me how to create a fun and safe environment while also understanding that every child has their own personality, needs, and way of learning.
I would describe myself as outgoing, funny, patient, understanding, kind, and dependable. I love getting to know kids and finding activities that match their interests and personalities. I'm also very creative and artistic, so I enjoy doing crafts, making things, and playing games. I'm a good listener and always willing to learn, grow, and take feedback so I can be the best caregiver I can be.
Outside of childcare, I love school and learning, reading, swimming, working out, animals, fashion, cooking, and baking. I'm always happy to turn those interests into activities with kids as it makes it more enjoyable sharing a hobby with the kids!
Most importantly, I want the children I care for to feel comfortable, respected, supported, and able to be themselves. I'm excited to build a genuine relationship with the families I work with and be someone they can trust!
