Hello! I am currently a reserve teacher and finishing up my Masters in School Counseling. I have my teaching license and am also CPR certified. I worked as outdoor educator last summer which entailed teaching kiddos how to paddle board, kayak, ride a bike and so many more things! It was truly such a rewarding job but I do have a love for nannying and building that rapport/memories with children! I was a full time substitute teacher in my undergrad program and also babysat quite often on the weekends. I have worked with children and babysat for the majority of my life and am eager to continue doing so!

I have been a music teacher for all ages starting as young as 4, and have worked in childcare with an elementary school in Minneapolis ages 5-11. I've run activities and supervised playground time for groups ranging from 10-20 kids typically. I've also hosted and participated in intergenerational events for families. During college, I nannied for three years, caring for two children aged 2 and 4. That role taught me how to balance structure, creativity, and patience while supporting early childhood development. I also coached gymnastics for kids ages 3 to 16, which strengthened my ability to connect with children, manage groups, and keep things fun while ensuring safety. I’m reliable, calm under pressure, and naturally attentive—skills that carry over from my work in fast-paced, people-focused environments. Hi! My name is Shannon! I have experience working with elementary-aged children and teenagers. I used to work as an art teacher for elementary students, so if your little one loves coloring or crafts, that’s awesome to hear! As a babysitter, I try to encourage screen-free activities like going outside, baking, coloring, playing games, reading, and such. I follow the book Parenting with Love and Logic, even though I do not have children of my own. I do not have a car, but I can help at the house or wherever you need me.
