As one of 7 children and a certified special needs caregiver in Washington State, I have a lifetime of experience for your child no matter their level of needs. I’m a 21 year old NYU writing student who loves to play and explore the imaginations of the children I care for. I’ve had experience with ages newborn-13 years old and have been nannying for 9 years, taking care of the home, taking children to and from school/daycare/extracurriculars, preparing meals, and handling bedtime. You can count on me to go on new adventures, start exciting creative projects, and go all in during playtime with your child. I love to get to know and be comfortable with the entire family so that your child can feel at peace with me in your home. Hope to meet you and your family soon <3

I love working with kids and being outdoors. I am vaccinated and boosted. I have a little experience in tutoring and am a recent college graduate. I would be able to help out with homework as necessary. I am almost fluent in Spanish. I feel very confident in working with children with special needs. I have experience being an aquatic therapist and teaching kids with various disabilities how to swim. Additionally, I was a social coach in high school and worked with students with special needs in helping them with homework, teaching them social skills, and job skills. I have been a lifeguard for 5 years and have my CPR certification. I have taught swim lessons to all age groups as young as 2 and as old as 18. I have taken a babysitting course at the Seattle Childrens when I was younger and have babysat quite a bit over the years. I also was part of a program in college to volunteer with homeless children at an after school program. This included serving them dinner, helping with homework and some fun activities. I have always loved dogs and have been around them my whole life. I feel very confident working with dogs of any size/breed. I volunteered at a dog shelter for many years and have had experience with timid and active dogs. As for cleaning, I have always helped around the house with chores and am willing to clean anything given the proper supplies.

Jordan was prompt, professional, and communicative.

Jonah $25 per hour for 1 child

Hello! My name is Jonah and I'm a 20 year old NYU student from Miami, FL. I am studying finance at NYU Stern with a focus on the entertainment industry. I grew up with a sister who was six years younger than me, and often took care of her while my parents were busy. I've been to summer camp from ages 7-14, was a counselor-in-training at 15, then a counselor at 16. Having been both a camper and a counselor, I know what it is like to be the kid and the adult in caretaking scenarios. I've been lifeguard certified and CPR-Pro certified, having lifeguarded at the camp I mentioned. I'm a great cook, asian cuisines being my favorite to make. I'm happy to help kids with their homework, or give tutoring sessions, especially in writing or math. I play guitar, and would gladly offer practice lessons for kids who are starting to play. I have a pet dog who I love very much, and would be so excited to care for other pets. I am eager to meet your children and help them find fun activities to enjoy their summer vacations!

Booked by 2 families in Astoria, NY

Hi!! I am new to this app as of last weekend. I know I don’t have many reviews yet due to this but I’m a hard worker and have experience in this field! In summary: I am a recent college graduate with experience being a swimming instructor for all ages as well as working as a daycare teacher for ages 6 months to 18 months. I love kids and animals. I’ve spent time babysitting since I was 12 to neighborhood kids as well as taken care of animals from dogs to chickens, to bunnies, to chinchillas. I recently am open to work after leaving a teacher job at an incredibly strict charter school. My reason for leaving was my difficulty in dealing with the extremely harsh environment. I don’t command, I teach! I remember too well what being a kid is like and I want to make kids enjoy their lives like I did. You can’t be a kid forever, let them enjoy it. In terms of animals, I have two lovely kittens that I adopted from Animal Haven and have always had multiple pets growing up. I love animals immensely (sometimes more than other adults). They bring a comfort nothing else can and I would love to get to meet and return that comfort to some special critters while you all enjoy time off. In terms of caregiving, I previously worked at a pharmacy for 4 years where I would deliver medicine, food and essentials to residences in nursing homes. I am available to start whenever! I live in Park Slope and would be happy to meet any one in person!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
