Hi! I’m Alexandria, I’m 21 years old going to be an upcoming senior majoring in Business and Theater arts with a Spanish minor. I am a fun, responsible, and caring babysitter with over 5 years of experience. My caregiving experience started early through helping with my mother’s licensed daycare, where I assisted with children from infancy to elementary age. Along with caring for my younger siblings and my newly born nephew, I’ve developed strong skills in multitasking, creating engaging activities, such as playing with toys, bringing out their creative side with arts and craft and also handling a range of child needs. I have worked with children of all ages most of my life and I enjoy it more than any other kind of work. My experience has been in a variety of settings including daycare, private homes, nursery school and elementary schools. I am currently employed as a substitute teacher for Region One Schools in Falls Village, CT. In addition, I have raised two children, a boy and a girl, and I was a Girl Scout leader and worked with the Cub Scouts. My background includes a Master’s degree in Education in the field of Reading. I believe that fostering a child’s creativity through the arts is essential to their success in learning science, math and language arts. I am very nurturing and I strive to direct children in a positive direction at all times. At the same time, I maintain a safe and secure environment for the children, at all times.
