Hello, Parents! My name is Mekayla, I’m 20 years old and I am a senior at Pace University. I've lived here my entire life and chose to stay for college because of the opportunities, including working with your amazing children! I have 5 years years of professional experience. I began volunteering at a daycare center in middle school and soon after began working there during the summer gaining more hands on experience. In 10th grade, I also started my own babysitting business and that’s when I realized my true love and skill for babysitting and creating bonds with lil ones throughout that experience. I worked over the summer as well at a sports camp at a country club and truly enjoyed that experience because I am so active and energized being a college lacrosse player. So babysitting is the best of both worlds for me! I also can help with any housework you may require, as well as assist your children with any homework they may have.

Mekayla was punctual, effective and super cool with my daughter. We will be calling her again!!

Toddler Whisperer Available! My current full time family is relocating, so I find myself looking for a new position! I am open to a summer only job, or something longer term with the right family. My most recent longer term jobs have been taking care of toddlers, but I am also very experienced working with preschool and elementary school aged kids. I am a singer and teaching artist who has tons of experience working with children, mostly kids who are age 3 and up. I taught elementary school music for several years and now teach classes as well as private music lessons as part of my freelance lifestyle. When I am with kids, I love going to the park, singing, baking/cooking, reading stories, and getting creative! ***I have current First Aid/CPR certification and a valid NY license with a clean driving record. My rates for long term positions may be different than posted above depending upon the number of hours, children, and duties involved.

Shawn was attentive, caring, and great with our twin girls. I could not recommend her more highly!

Hello there! I’m Monifa, but you can call me Em. Thank you for stopping by my profile to learn more. I am a veteran at child care hoping to meet and help more families on the app. I’m a creative, fun, flexible, resourceful and entertaining former school professional, hospitality and operational expert in Brooklyn with over 15 years of experience with babysitting, summer camp, daycare, elementary and secondary education as a youth mentor, academic advisor, exceptional learner advocate, international trip chaperone, teacher, school leadership administrator and parent-advocate partner. You name it, and I’ve probably done it ☺️. I enjoy creating fun, loving and learning opportunities for everyone —especially children. As a seasoned professional, I work with a range of ages: —> Infants —> Toddlers —> Children —> Teens —> Adults —> Seniors I enjoy learning about, taking care of and engaging people. I am CPR trained and know how to manage emergencies with efficiency thanks to my background working as a school operations leader. My specialties included but are not limited to: —> Developmental play and learning —> Homework —> Crafts —> Medication organization & schedule management —> Routine creation and management —> Behavioral guidance and coaching —> Entertainment activities —> Activity schedule management —> Field trip creation and execution —> Learning-based family games —> Transportation Management I am also a huge fan of Montessori learning for little friends, helping them gain skills to be independent, critical thinkers. My capacity extends to include support with pet care for small/medium dogs and cats. I am however, open to learning to care for other pet types sans reptiles. I am happy to help our furry friends with: —> Walking —> Feeding —> Sitting If you may need a house sitter, I can support w errands, and organizing. I would be happy to connect over call/FT to learn more about your family’s needs to ensure that you get the timely care that’s requested, as well as sharing more detail about my experience and history. As a native New Yorker, I do not yet have a driving license but I am working on getting one very soon. To fill that gap I can happily coordinate other means of transportation to ensure that there is no impact. Looking forward to connecting with you soon. Cheers!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
