For me, the best way to deal with kids is talking to them and make them understand what’s wrong and what we can do together to solve the problem and make things better. Hi! I’m Roxy. I started babysitting almost 15 years ago and have since worked as a nanny/babysitter and in education, from classrooms and private tutoring to developing an SEL curriculum for elementary school-aged girls. In this time, I’ve worked with children of all ages and have really enjoyed getting to know the different milestones, interests, and needs that come with each age. I really enjoy getting to know each child and finding ways to keep them engaged while supporting their development. Depending on age, some of my favorite ways to spend time with kids are getting outside, reading together, doing art projects, baking, and finding activities that match their interests. With babies and young toddlers, I especially enjoy paying attention to what they’re learning at each stage and finding fun, age-appropriate ways to support their development, encourage their growing independence and communication skills, and keep them interested and learning as they grow.
