Courtney 3 reviews
$22 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 3 families in Brooklyn, NY

I'm a 35 year old Australian who has moved to the US with my husband. I have many nieces, nephews and friend's children who I loved to care for back home. I have also been a babysitter/nanny for 4 years in Manhattan and Brooklyn. I am comfortable caring for children of all ages, from infant to pre-teens. I am available all weekdays in the AM at present, as I work with a family I have been with long term in the afternoon. I'm always happy to accommodate your family needs to make life a little easier, including laundry, light housework, etc. I live in Brooklyn but happy to take work in Manhattan also. Look forward to hearing from you and meeting your family. Courtney

Courtney was fabulous - charming and kind and great fun. Will absolutely work with her again!

Brandon $25 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Brandon, and I’m 22 years old. I recently graduated from NYU’s Rory Meyers College of Nursing with a minor in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Studies. I currently work as a Pediatric Oncology/Hematology/BMT Nurse at a children’s hospital in New York City. Through my nursing career, I’ve had the privilege of caring for children from newborns to young adults. I am CPR/AED certified and highly attentive to children’s needs and behavior, which ensures your child’s safety and well-being. I genuinely enjoy spending time with kids and would love the opportunity to babysit for your family. While my nursing schedule can vary, I will always communicate clearly about my availability. In addition to childcare, I am happy to help with: Tutoring and homework support, school pick-up and drop-off, light cleaning and cooking, and general household tasks.

Naomi $25 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Naomi, and I an experienced, creative, and warm sitter. I’m looking for a part time babysitting role, ideally 20-25 hrs a week. I work well with kids who are curious, passionate, and ask a lot of questions! I started babysitting as a high school freshman, and I continue to do it because I love kids! I love teaching them how the world works. I taught English to elementary school kids in Spain, and when I returned I worked as a math tutor. I’m very punctual, and a great cook! In my free time I’m a writer and visual artist!

Marisa $25 per hour for 1 child

I am a very caring and responsible person that understands the seriousness of taking care of someone else's loved ones, but I can also be very goofy and imaginative when appropriate. With children, I believe in the importance of fostering natural curiosity, critical thinking, and imagination. I also believe in the importance of spending time outside, being artistic, and engaging with new learning experiences for young children's development and sense of confidence. I have direct experience working with kids from spending many summers as a counselor/aide at my own summer camp throughout high school, an education intern both at an environmental camp and a local zoo, and from nannying a 3 year old for 6 months. In addition to that, I am a big sister and because of that I've always had a parenting/maternal side to myself unlocked. I love being outside, playing games, and I am very crafty (painting, drawing, clay/sculpture, collages, dress-up). I also have 3 years experience as a pet walker/sitter and am always open to pet care opportunities as well.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
